‘Kaalakaandi’
Ever since the teaser and trailer of this black comedy has released, the film promises to be one hell of a roller coaster ride. Featuring an ensemble star cast, that of Saif Ali Khan, Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam, ‘Kaalakaandi’ marks the directorial debut of ‘Delhi Belly’ fame writer Akshat Verma. And the trailer does somewhat give you the ‘Delhi Belly’ vibe as well that makes it one of the prime reasons to look forward to the release on January 12.
‘Mukkabaaz’
Filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Aanand L Rai (as a producer) join hands for the first time for ‘Mukkabaaz’, leaving many curious to know the outcome of this collab. The reason being that they both follow different schools of cinema. But, after having a look at the trailer, literally the film promises to pack a punch. Featuring Vineet Kumar Singh, Zoya Hussain, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ravi Kishan, the film is really looking something very interesting coming up for the audiences. It arrives on January 12.
‘1921’
‘1921’ features Zareen Khan and Karan Kundrra in the lead roles. The film is directed by Vikram Bhatt, who has time and again proved that he is the master of the horror genre. The film is touted to be the fourth instalment in the popular horror franchise ‘1920’. This is the first time when Zareen will be starring in a horror film. Certainly, for her fans it will be really exciting to see her performing something different. ‘1921’ is slated to hit the screens on January 12.
‘PadMan’
Akshay Kumar is back with ‘PadMan’, a inspirational true story that might bring out a change in the society. Many would know that the film is based on the true story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented low cost sanitary napkins for the women in his village. The trailer and songs of the film is receiving a lot of praises since they have been released. Co-starring Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor, the film looks like a perfect mass entertainer. It hopefully will spread the right amount of awareness of the issue among the audiences. It is slated to release on Republic Day, January 26.
‘Aiyaary’
After directing ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’, the expectations are definitely high from filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s new film ‘Aiyaary’. The trailer of the film featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles is surely intriguing, riveting and fast-paced. This one promises to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. We are really excited and looking forward to watch ‘Aiyaary’ as it too is slated to hit the screens on Republic Day, January 26.
