Shahid Kapoor
First on our list is the brilliant star, Shahid Kapoor, who will be soon starring in Shree Narayan Singh’s ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ which will hit the silver screen this year. FYI, the actor was caught shooting along the lanes of Tehri and is paired opposite Shraddha Kapoor who plays his love interest.
Taapsee Pannu
After being part of a courtroom drama namely 'Pink', Taapsee will wear the lawyer's robe in 'Mulq'. The movie has a magnificent star cast which features Rishi Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Neena Gupta along with Taapsee. She will be essaying the role of a lawyer and Rishi Kapoor’s daughter-in-law in this film. This Anubhav Sinha film will be releasing mid-2018.
Yami Gautam
The 'Kaabil' girl, Yami will be seen playing a very important role in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. She will be acting as a lawyer alongside Shahid Kapoor. For the unaware, the film revolves around the disparity in electric billing in rural towns and small cities. The Shree Narayan Singh film will be releasing later this year.
Richa Chadha
Badass star, Richa Chadha will be playing a public prosecutor in the upcoming film 'Section 375: Marzi ya Jabardasti'. The film highlights the issue on the misuse of rape laws in India, using a kickass case as the background. It will be directed by Manish Gupta, produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. Tentative release is said to be the end of 2018.
Kunal Kemmu
Ram Jethmalani is one of India’s most influential lawyers and it will be very interesting to see the 'Golmaal' actor play him in the lawyer’s biopic. The actor will be co-producing the film with his wife and Ronnie Screvwala. It is their first production and the film is already in its scripting stage.
