‘Satyagraha’
After ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’, Amrita starred in films that didn’t give her any scope as an actress. She was then cast in Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagraha’ in which she had a powerful role.
‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’
After ‘Vivah’, Amrita once again impressed us with her performance of a village belle, Kamala, in ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’.
‘Vivah’
The best performance of Amrita till date was in ‘Vivah’. She was brilliant as the simple girl, Poonam, from a small town. She had also received Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the film.
‘Main Hoon Na’
Well, Amrita was credited as the supporting actress in the film, but had more screen space than Sushmita Sen who was said to be the lead actress of the movie. Amrita’s performance was damn good in the movie.
‘Ishq Vishk’
While she made her debut with ‘Ab Ke Baras’ and starred opposite Ajay Devgn in ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, she got fame with ‘Ishq Vishk’ in which she played the role of a college girl named Payal wonderfully.
Amrita Rao is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood, but she is also one of the most underrated actresses. In her career spanning of 14 years, she has played lead role in 19 films. She was last seen on the big screen in ‘Singh Saab the Great’ (2013) and this year she made her small screen debut with the show ‘Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai’.
