That’s not all, the Deol brothers also got emotional after receiving Dharmendra’s heartfelt message. Having said that, let’s have a look at the top moments from the second episode of Koffee With Karan 8 featuring Sunny and Bobby Deol.

5 MAJOR highlights from KWK 8 second episode

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol get emotional: Sunny and Bobby received a special video message from father Dharmendra. The message left them teary-eyed. The veteran actor said, “Har bacha kaise bhi ho, baap ke saamne bheegi billi bann jata hai aur baar se dur hote hi sher ban jata hai. Sunny ke andar ek baccha hai joh samajdhar hogaya hai aur usse samajhdaar hona chahiye. (Every child, no matter how he is, become a cat when he is in front of his father and turns into a lion as soon as he is away from him. Sunny has a child inside him who has now matured into an intelligent man).”

He added, “Bobby sabse ladla hai, humesha chota baccha joh hai usko zyada hi pyaar karte hai. Par Bobby kehte hain ki aap Sunny se zyada pyaar karte hain mujhse nahi. (Bobby is the most loved one, we tend to love the younger one more but he says that I love Sunny more than him). He complains to me about this. I love him. We all love him the most. I am proud of you, my sons.”

Deol brothers react to their father’s kiss in RARKPK: After 7 years, Karan returned to the director’s chair with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Dharmendra was a part of it. The veteran actor played Ranveer Singh’s character Rocky Randhawa’s grandfather in RARKPK. He grabbed attention for his kiss with co-star Shabana Azmi in the film. So, when asked about Dharmendra’s kiss, Sunny reacted saying, “He can do whatever he likes and he can get away with it.”

Bobby on how Salman Khan helped him: Bobby played the role of Yash in Salman Khan starrer Race 3. Recalling how he bagged the role and Salman Khan’s support, Bobby said, “Salman told me, ‘Dekh jab mera career thik nahi chal raha tha, main tere bhai ke peeth pad chad gaya tha, main aage badha, main Sanjay Dutt ke peeth par chad gaya, main aage badha ‘Salman told me, ‘Look, when my career wasn’t going well, I climbed on your brother’s back, I moved forward, I climbed on Sanjay Dutt’s back, I moved forward).”

He added, “We call each other mamu. Toh maine usko bola, ‘Mamu, toh mujhe tere peeth par chadhne de na (So I told him, ‘Mamu, let me climb on your back’). So, then he remembered that, and a couple of years later, I got a phone call from him and he said, ‘Mamu shirt utarega, I said haan mamu main kuch bhi karunga’ (He said, ‘Mamu, will you take off your shirt?’ I replied, ‘Yes Mamu, I’ll do anything’). So, that’s how I got Race 3.”

Sunny Deol on Gadar 2’s box office numbers: On the show, Karan asked Sunny about his repeated claims that his latest film Gadar had organic box office numbers. KJo asked, “What does that really mean? Are we inflating box office numbers?,” to which Sunny replied, “I know that does happen, that’s the way the society is moving right now.” When asked, “Is that why the tagline on Gadar 2 was, “Hindustan ka asli blockbuster’?“, Sunny laughed it off.

Bobby Deol on the low phase of his career: Recalling the old days, Bobby said, “I gave up, I started pitying myself. I just took on drinking a lot, I was sitting at home. And I used to keep cursing and saying, why don’t people take me? I am good, why don’t they want to work with me? I think I became so negative about everything, that there was no positiveness coming from me. And I used to sit home, my wife works.” He added, “Suddenly, I heard my son saying, you know mom, papa sits at home and you go to work everyday. Something snapped in me. I just said, no I can’t! It was a slow process, when I got out of it, it took me time to get into the right mind frame to become okay. It can’t happen overnight.” Furthermore, he recalled going to directors and asking them for work.
