Swimming pool with glowing blue tiles, possible in 2016 BC?
The ‘Great bath of Mohenjo Daro’ holds high importance in the history, but well, with whatever remains that we have come across from the great civilisation, the huge bath was nowhere near to what it has been shown in the film. Today, the swimming pools look blue and glowing because of the blue titles and chlorinated water, but all of this was not available in that era, right? Film seems to foresee much ahead of its time, we guess.
Technical glitches!
Well, even if you got a horse out of nowhere in the ancient era, the cloth over the horse cannot just move on its own, right? In one scene when the horse supposedly gets blindfolded by a red cloth which then magically covers the horse face in entirety? How, is what we wonder!
Horses, headgears… where did it come from?
History says that it was Aryan’s who invaded the India through Khyber Pass on horses. But the Harappans made used of cattle and elephants. Horses were nowhere in the picture then, so why in film? Also the costume of Chaani aka Pooja Hegde has gone wrong in the film. She has been termed as the offspring of river Sindhu, but the way she had been styled in the film was equivalent to the dressing of Elizabeth Taylor of Cleopatra. Check out some tweets on the same...
I'm really done with Bollywood depicting tribal/clannish societies in such stereotypical terms, feathers in their hair, paint on their faces

Everyone knows the the (migrating) Aryans had a fair complexion. Not the Harappans. But fair is all that works for BTown.Thoroughly disgusted

Title gone wrong!
‘Mohenjo Daro’ in its literal sense means ‘Mound of the Dead Men’. This name was given to the village by the archaeologist who excavated the region and it is not the original name of the place. So the question here is, why would people living in this village call it as a ‘Mound of Dead Men’?
The ‘Fair and Lovely’ bias!
According to archaeologists, only the migrating Aryans were fair skinned. Rest, the Harappans were dark in color. So, according to this, the fair skinned Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde made up for a wrong cast. A budding archaeologist had pointed out the same…
Also, in all probability the Harappans were dark complexioned. Yeh kya fair and lovely bias hai?

Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro’ that clashed with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ failed to entertain the audience. At least that’s what the box office numbers say. It was Hrithik’s comeback film after a gap of approximately 2 years, but unfortunately it tanked at the box office. The film was a period drama that revolved around the story of Chaani and Sarman with the cultural backdrop ‘Mohenjo Daro’. But apparently, the makers made some mistakes in the film which did not go unnoticed by us.
