Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been on a roll ever since its release. The Karan Johar directorial also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Anjali Anand and Churni Ganguly in pivotal roles. The rom-com revolves around two young individuals, Rocky and Rani, who decide to switch places. They do so to convince their family of their relationship as they come from contrasting backgrounds.

The Karan Johar directorial is a complete family entertainer that celebrates love while also giving a social message. For its captivating narrative, chartbuster tracks and ensemble cast, the film is unanimously receiving rave response. It has managed to rake in more than 100 crore in 10 days. With this collection, it has break several records in Karan Johar as well as Ranveer and Alia’s career. The film has also marked its position as one of the highest grosser film of 2023.

Eighth 100 crore film of Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt continues her streak of delivering blockbuster with RRKPK. While this will be her fourth consecutive film to cross 100 crore this, in her career it will be her 8^th film. Her previous films that crossed 100 crore mark includes, 2 States (102.10 cr), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (116.68 cr), Raazi (123.84 cr), Gully Boy (140.25 cr), Gangubai Kathiawadi (129.10 cr), RRR (274.31) and Brahmastra (257.44 cr).

Seventh 100 crore film of Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh’s effortless portrayal of flamboyant Rocky is receiving overwhelming response. While, box-office of his previous releases- Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Cirkus were underwhelming, the heartthrob munda came back with a bang with RRKPK marking his 7^th highest grosser so far. His previous one includes, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela (116.33 cr), Bajirao Mastani (184.2 cr), Simmba (240.31 cr), Gully Boy (140.25 cr), Padmavat (302.15 cr) and 83 (109.02 cr).

Second 100 crore of Karan Johar

RRKPK marks Karan Johar’s return to directorial seat after a hiatus of 7 years. His last venture was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Released in 2016, the diwali release which had clashed with Shivaay had netted 112.48 crores in its lifetime. And RRKPK has minted 105.08 crore in 10 days marking KJo’s second century.

Sixth highest grosser of the year domestically

Alia and Ranveer starrer is sixth-highest grosser of 2023 till now. Before this, Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore), The Kerala Story (Rs 242.20 crore), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Rs 149.05 crore), Adipurush (Rs 135.04 crore) and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (Rs 110.53 crore) are highest grossing films of 2023. Looking at the scenario, it is expected to have a good run in its third week as well and is expected to surpass 150 crore.

Second highest grosser in the overseas market

Be it Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna or Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan has always got a lot of love abroad. And that continues with RRKPK as well. Karan Johar continues to dominate the overseas box office as it has crossed the $10 million mark in the international markets. It is currently the second-highest overseas Bollywood grosser of 2023 after Pathaan.
