Sridevi's comic touch to the double role was much appreciated. Standing next to veterans Rajinikanth and Sunny Deol isn't easy but Sridevi managed to shine beautifully in this movie. In 'Mr India' her famous impersonation of the King of silent comedy Charlie Chaplin was bang on. Who could imagine an actress in the garb of Charlie Chaplin, right?

To make someone laugh is the hardest thing. That’s what our actors say and we can’t agree enough on this. It’s easier to make someone cry with an intense and dramatic scene, but to enact a comic scene with complete ease that actually makes the audience laugh is difficult.

The genre of comedy is majorly ruled by men in movies. Which was the last movie where you saw a female lead carry the movie on her shoulders with her comic timing? In our industry, men are the ones who usually take up comic roles and earn praises. Actresses are often subjected to an eye candy in the movie whereas the male lead does all the comedy. This is the case in most of our movies today, where a multi-starrer cast is needed to make people laugh along with cheap humour. The role of actresses in these kind of movies is only limited to a few gags, who try their best to support the male lead.
