Saif Ali Khan
He is one of the most handsome looking actors we have in Bollywood, and has proved his mettle with films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Race’, etc. However, his last few releases have failed to make a mark at the box office. Since 2013, the actor had back-to-back flops with films like ‘Bullett Raja’, ‘Humshakals’, ‘Happy Ending’ and ‘Phantom’. Unfortunately, his recently released flick ‘Rangoon’ too has failed miserably at the box office. He will next be seen in ‘Chef’ and Akshat Verma’s directorial. We hope that these films get him back on track.
Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan is a powerhouse of talent. She is undoubtedly one of the most talented and versatile actresses of Bollywood, and she doesn’t need to prove that to anyone. With every film she raises the bar, but then her talent gets neglected at the box office, and we too feel bad about it. After ‘Kahaani’, Vidya has been a part of six films and all of them flopped at the box office. Last year, when Vidya-starrer ‘Kahaani 2’ had hit the screens we all had thought that the film will repeat the success of its first instalment, but sadly, even that didn’t happen. She will next be seen in ‘Begum Jaan’ and we are sure her performance will be award-worthy, but we hope that the film does well at the box office as well.
Katrina Kaif
Do you know Katrina Kaif is one of the most successful actresses of Bollywood? Most of her films have turned out to be super hit and blockbusters. But, then the year 2015 and 2016 has been quite bad for her. She had back-to-back flops that year. ‘Phantom’, ‘Fitoor’ and ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ all were disasters at the box office. She has two releases this year, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. While we have less expectations from the former which has been delayed way too much, the latter will surely be a blockbuster, ending the famine of flops for the actress.
Aditya Roy Kapur
Aditya Roy Kapur started his career in 2009, but apart from his two films in 2013, ‘Aashiqui 2’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ none of films have made a mark at the box office. After ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, he had three flops. Currently, he has no films in his kitty, but he really needs a good film to bounce back.
Shraddha Kapoor
After four back-to-back superhit films, Shraddha Kapoor faced two big flops in the past few months. ‘Rock On 2’ and ‘OK Jaanu’, both were expected to perform very well at the box office, but failed miserably. The actress has a couple of films in her kitty like ‘Half Girlfriend’ and ‘Haseena’, and we have high expectations from both the films.
Parineeti Chopra
Parineeti Chopra was last seen on the big screen in 2014 released ‘Kill Dil’ which was flop at the box office. In the same year, she was a part of the film ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ which was also a disaster at the box office. She took a break, and now is all set to make a comeback with ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ which is slated to release mid-this year. The film is a make or a break situation for the actress. However, she has a big film like ‘Golmaal Again’ in her kitty.
Kangana Ranaut
‘Queen’ gave Kangana’s career a new beginning. However, after that film, apart from ‘Tanu Wed Manu Returns’ the actress gave many flops. Since 2014 Kangana has been a part of flop movies like ‘Revolver Rani’, ‘Ungli’, ‘I Love NY’, ‘Katti Batti’ and ‘Rangoon’. Well, there’s no doubt that she is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. But then, at the box office her films are not doing well. Her next release is ‘Simran’ and she really needs a hit.
Friday is the day that decides an actor’s career. While some Fridays turn out to be lucky for the actors and their films turn out to be a hit, some Fridays are really bad as their movie fails at the box office. But then, if an actor or an actress has back-to-back flops in his kitty, then it is difficult to sustain in the industry as a producer will put money on you only if you give him or her some profit.
