Anniversary Special: Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s love-soaked pictures

Bollywood’s power couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are celebrating 14 years of togetherness. Ever since their wedding which took place on April 20, 2007, they are proof of ‘Happily Ever After’ stories. Be it their pictures together or their public appearances or the way they adore their only daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, Abhishek & Aish have been giving us major relationship goals.

The couple met on the sets of their film Dhai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and later worked in Kuch Naa Kaho in 2003. After dating for a year, they decided to take their love to the next level by getting married and today they are celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary. Recently Abhishek spoke to Bollywood Bubble and shared how Aishwarya helped him put his life into focus amidst the lockdown. Abhishek said, “The lockdown has taught everybody is that our definition of success also changes a lot. We are so busy chasing material things that we forget what’s really important. Some people ask, ‘Oh what did you do during the lockdown? What have you learned?’ Some people have learned to cook, some have picked up a new hobby, language, new skill set. I feel very overwhelmed and I was speaking to my wife about it.”

He further added, “And as all wives do, they put your lives into focus, they put you back on track. She said yeah but put it this way, ‘For the first time in your life you got to spend the entire year with your family. And your family is safe and healthy today’. And it’s so true. We get to do what we love and go back to a healthy and happy family. That’s successful. It doesn’t matter if you are living in a mansion or a hut. As long as you can smile or put a smile on the face of your loved ones what else matters?”

Their wedding was a grand lavish affair. Aishwarya looked drop-dead gorgeous in a traditional golden Kanjeevaram saree designed by Neeta Lulla and Abhishek complimented her very well. On November 16, 2011 Abhishek and Aishwarya welcomed their little daughter Aaradhya.

Workwise, Abhishek was last seen in The Big Bull where he played the character based on stockbroker Harshad Mehta. He will be soon seen in a social comedy, Dasvi. Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s next release is the Tamil film, Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam.
