Tamasha
The film’s director Imitiaz Ali first approached Anushka for the role of Tara but the actress was not happy with it, reportedly, and turned the film down. Later, Deepika Padukone essayed the role alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.
Ki & Ka
Reportedly, the film was first offered to Anushka but she turned it down and that’s how it went to Kareena Kapoor Khan who essayed the role of  Kia Sahni with Arjun Kapoor playing Kabir Bansal. The movie was lauded by netizens as well and it was also a hit at the box office.
Baar Baar Dekho
Farhan Akhtra, the producer of the movie had reported asked Anushka Sharma to play the main character in the movie, but she turned down the offer and she could not come on board for it. The role was then offered to Katrina Kaif.
3 Idiots
3 Idiots is widely regarded as one of the most iconic Bollywood movies of all time, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and adapted loosely from Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. Reportedly, this time, Anushka did not reject the movie, infact she had auditioned for this blockbuster film but Hirani rejected her. However, the director chose Kareena Kapoor Khan for the role. It starred Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the titular roles.
2 States
The film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2009 novel 2 States: The Story of My Marriage. Anushka was reported approached to play the lead role in the movie. However, she turned it down as she allegedly did not find the script to be very gripping. Later, Alia Bhatt joined the movie alongside Arjun Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Anushka, who was last seen in the 2018 movie, Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif is all set to make her Bollywood comeback with Chakda Xpress, inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and the actress will play the pivotal role in it.
