Actor Akshay Kumar is currently on a roll. He is one of the most busiest actors in Bollywood and has a massive line-up of a plethora of heavy-duty movies in the pipeline. Shoots of some have been wrapped up while some are still being shot. Today, we have listed down the upcoming movies of Akshay Kumar. From Bachchan Pandey, Prithviraj to Ram Setu and OMG 2, the Khiladi Kumar has atleast eight movies and a web series.

Earlier, in an interview with Variety, Akshay was told that his projects in 2022 are expected to earn around Rs. 2000 crore. Bachchan Pandey, is much awaited action comedy film starring Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon in the lead. The makers recently announced the release date from March 4, 2022, to March 18, 2022. It is directed by Farhad Samji.

Prithviraj

Prithviraj is a magnum opus starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. It was slated to hit the big screens on January 21 but has been postponed due to the rise in Covid cases. It is on the life of warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. The historical drama is written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi.

Ram Setu

Akshay Kumar plays an archaeologist in the movie. The shoot has been wrapped last year. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Ram Setu also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in pivotal parts. Ram Setu is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 24, 2022.

OMG 2

OMG is sequel to 2012 film OMG-Oh My God! It is written and directed by Amit Rai and also tars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam along with Akshay Kumar. It is produced by Cape of Good Films, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl, and Ashwin Varde.

Raksha Bandhan

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in 2020, Akshay Kumar announced his new film titled Raksha Bandhan, which will celebrate the ‘most special bond in the world’. The actor dedicated the film, to his sister Alka. It is directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma.

Gorkha

Akshay Kumar has signed another film with Aanand L Rai titled Gorkha. The film is based on the life of the legendary office of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian army, Major General Ian Cardozo.

Selfiee

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi will star in Selfiee backed by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions and will be directed by Good Newwz fame Raj Mehta. It is the Hindi remake of 2019 Malayalam-language comedy film Driving Licence. It starred Prithviraj Sukumaran as a superstar and Suraj Venjaramoodu as a motor vehicle inspector.

Mission Cinderella

Akshay Kumar will be seen in a tentatively titled film Mission Cinderella. It also features Rakul Preet Singh. Earlier, he had shared a photo on Instagram as he wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film. It is the remake of the hit Tamil psychological thriller Ratsasan (2018). Mission Cinderella is directed by Bell Bottom director Ranjit Tiwari.
