When SRK decided to buy Villa Vienna
Relatives and descendants continued to move in and out of Villa Vienna for several reasons. The latest resident of the sea-facing bungalow from the Gandhy family was Nariman Dubash whom SRK met and expressed his interest in buying Villa Vienna. However, it was not easy. Shah Rukh had to do enough convincing to Dubash to sell him the house which eventually happened at a cost of Rs 13.32 crore.
When Shah Rukh entered Villa Vienna
Villa Vienna was resided by Kekoo Gandhy's mom Roshan. The residents got angered when Shah Rukh got a pit burrowed near their bungalow. However, a humble man that he has always been, Shah Rukh went to them to apologise for the inconvenience. That's when he stepped into Villa Vienna and the Gandhys met him.
The original name of Mannat
Yes, Mannt was not always the same. King Khan's royal abode was named as Villa Vienna by the owner Kekoo Gandhy. Not just this, Kekoo also owned the neighbouring building which was called Kekee Manzil.
The real owner of Mannat
The spacious state-of-the-art property was not constructed by the Badshah of Bollywood. Yes, SRK did not own Mannat from the beginning. It actually belonged to a Parsi man of Gujarati-origin who was once Shah Rukh's neighbour who was a craftsman and a gallerist.
