In the movie, they have shown that Dhoni endorses Sanjay Ghodawat Institute and Finolex Pipes. Well, he has never been associated with these brands, which means that those products were included as a promotional advertisement for the movie sponsors.

Dhoni and Sakshi’s love story

In the movie, it is shown that Sakshi Rawat, an intern at Taj Bengal in Kolkata, has no idea who Mahendra Singh Dhoni is, and later moves to Aurangabad. However, not everything shown is correct. Sakshi was at Taj Bengal and when she met Dhoni it was her last day at work. But, Dhoni and Sakshi knew each other since childhood and their fathers used to work together in Ranchi. Not just this, Sakshi and Dhoni were even in the same school. In 2007, Dhoni had incidentally met Sakshi at the Taj Bengal and both stayed in touch post that. They started dating in 2008 and got married in 2010.

Dhoni and Priyanka’s love story

In the movie, they have shown the love story between Dhoni and his first girlfriend Priyanka (played by Disha Patani). However, there’s a very big fault the makers have done here. It is shown that Dhoni met Priyanka en-route to Vizag from Kochi after the first ODI against Pakistan in 2005 and they were together till India’s tour of Pakistan in 2006. In the movie, Priyanka meets with accident on 14 February 2006, which is wrong. Dhoni and Priyanka had actually met in 2002 when he was aspiring to be an Indian cricketer. When the cricketer was with the India A squad in 2003-04 for a tri-series in Kenya, Priyanka lost her life due to an accident.

Lava phone endorsement

In the film, it showed that in 2008 MS Dhoni is endorsing Lava phones, but the company had started in 2009. What’s more, Dhoni became the brand ambassador of the company earlier this year.

Where is Dhoni’s brother?

In real life, MS Dhoni has one sister (played by Bhumika Chawla) and a brother. But, in the film there’s nothing mentioned about the brother, Narendra Singh Dhoni. It is said that Dhoni’s family has cut all the ties with NS Dhoni who is into politics.
