The film will feature Salman Khan sporting five different looks spanning 60 years, wherein a crucial part will showcase the actor in his late 20s, looking much leaner and younger. Salman Khan will be recreating his ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ look which has created immense excitement amongst the audience.
Priyanka Chopra
'Bharat' is going to be Priyanka Chopra's homecoming to Bollywood after a gap of two years. Talking about Priyanka's role in the film, director Ali Abbas Zafar told Indian Express, " 'Bharat' is a mature, subtle love story and Priyanka's character is the soul of the film. She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Salman in his journey and is the catalyst who triggers what will be a turning point in the plot."
Tabu
The details of Tabu's character in the film has been kept under the wraps however while talking about having Tabu on board, director Zafar told Mumbai Mirror, "I’ve been a huge fan of Tabu’s work and always wished to work with her. After several meetings with her, I’m happy it is finally happening with 'Bharat' and am looking forward to the shoot.”
Disha Patani
Petite actress Disha Patani will be playing a role of a circus artist in 'Bharat', revealing about her role Zafar told Mumbai Mirror, "The pairing of Salman and Disha in a circus set-up in the ’60s is unusual and exciting. She is a promising star and for this character, we needed a girl who looked vulnerable and beautiful yet had the physicality of an athlete. Disha fit the bill perfectly.”
Sunil Grover
Actor and stand-up comedian Sunil Grover is also a part of this magnum opus. However, we don't know what role the comedian will be playing in the film. But one thing is for sure, Sunil is a terrific actor and he always strives to entertain the audience and we expect nothing less of him from this film as well.
Next year on Eid, Bhaijaan Salman Khan will be enthralling the audience with period drama ‘Bharat’. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Bharat’ is an official adaptation of 2014 Korean film ‘Ode to My Father’.
