In fact, BB 14 mired in controversies just weeks after the show began its journey on Television. Radhe Maa’s cameo upset ABAP

Self-style Godwoman, Radhe Maa stepped into Bigg Boss 14, to bless the house. Yes, in a surprising move, Radhe Maa entered the house, not once, but twice. First, she blessed the BB 14 house, and later she interacted with the contestants, motivating them to follow the path of righteousness.

However, Radhe Maa’s appearance on the reality show irked The Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP). They condemned her move and expressed their unhappiness. Not only this, but they also dissociated themselves from Radhe Maa.

ABAP president Mahant Narendra Giri told IANS. “She (Radhe Maa) is neither a saint nor is she an ascetic. She is not associated with any akhara. Earlier, the Juna Akhara had conferred the title of Mahamandaleshwar on Radhe Maa but later, when they saw her true colours, she was expelled from there.”

Rahul-Jaan’s Nepotism debate

For the very first time, the nepotism debate happened in the Bigg Boss house. During the initial nomination rounds, Rahul Vaidya targetted Jaan Sanu, claiming he is receiving support because he is the son of renowned singer Kumar Sanu. Rahul called Jaan a product of nepotism and thus nominated him.

“I would like to nominate Jaan Kumar Sanu because I hate nepotism. Whoever has come on the show, they’ve come based on their hard work. Jaan is on the show because he is someone’s son,” said Rahul. His remarks did not go down well with other contestants and Salman Khan, who reprimanded him for unnecessarily dragging the nepotism topic here.

Jaan gave it back to Rahul saying, “I’m fortunate that Mr. Kumar Sanu is my father. Not everybody is that lucky. Unfortunate for you.” The young one also added that he is brought up by his mother and he is here because of her.

Maharastra Government slams Jaan Sanu

Jaan upset the Maharashtra Government when he unintentionally, in a fit of rage, asked Nikki Tamboli to not speak Marathi. “Don’t talk in Marathi. I get angry when I hear (Marathi). If you want to talk in Hindi,” Jaan told Nikki. Political parties, Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), reacted strongly to Jaan’s comments. They condemned it and demanded an apology from him.

Later, when Bigg Boss informed Jaan about the mess, and the singer apologized for hurting people’s sentiments. “Maine kuch dino pehle, anjaane mein hi sahi, ek galti ki thi, jis se Marathi logo ko thes pahunchi hai. Mera bilkul bhi intention nahi tha ki aap logon ko thes pahuchau. I am really sorry,” Jaan said seeking forgiveness. He also apologized to Bigg Boss and the makers for causing trouble.

Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia’s PDA angers Karni Sena

Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia shared a love-hate relationship in the show. While they had several fights, they also shared some mushy moments. In one of the episodes, Eijaz and Pavitra showered each other with hugs and kisses. While Pavijaz fans loved it, it left the Karni Sena angered.

Karni Sena accused the makers of promoting ‘love jihad’ and demanded a ban on the show. Reportedly, a notice was also sent to the team of BB 14, calling the show ‘vulgar and cheap.’

Bigg Boss 14 received an unpleasant reaction from viewers within weeks of its launch. Netizens slammed makers for going overboard and tagged the show ‘vulgar.’ It all happened during a task when the female contestants had to lure senior Sidharth Shukla with their adayein. However, girls trying to woo and seduce Sidharth to keep themselves safe did not go down well with many viewers. Some also went on to demand a ban on BB 14 for spreading vulgarity.
