The actress passed away in Dubai due to accidental drowning and we lost a great actress. But fans will be able to see her for one last time on the big screen on December 21 in Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Zero’.

Shammi Kapoor

Shammi Kapoor one of the iconic stars of Indian cinema. He is known for his swag and style and rocked the screens with his performances between 1950s, the 1960s and early 1970s. The actor died on 14 August 2011 aged 79, due to chronic renal failure. His last screen appearance was in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Rockstar’ that released after his death.

Om Puri

Powerhouse of talent Om Puri passed away of a massive heart attack on 6 January 2017. He was last seen in Salman Khan starrer ‘Tubelight’ whose shoot the actor had completed just a month before his demise.

Divya Bharti

Bollywood’s most beautiful actress Madhubala had a ventricular sepal defect (a hole in heart) due to which she lost her life on February 23, 1969. The actress who was seen as Anarkali in ‘Mughal E Azam’ was unable to see her last film ‘Jwala’ that hit the theaters in 1971 after her demise.

Smita Patil

Smita Patil one of Bollywood’s power house performer. The dusky beauty in a career spanning over for just a decade, had worked in over 80 movies. The beautiful and talented Smita Patil passed away on 13 December 1986, due to childbirth complications after her son Prateik’s birth. There were 10 movies that released after her death that included Waaris, Akarshan, Sutradhar, etc.

Amjad Khan

Amjad Khan is remembered till this date as Gabbar Singh of 'Sholay'. He performed in a number of hit flicks but passed away in 1992. There were many movies that released after his death such as Rudaali, Do Fantoosh, Aatnak, Sautela Bhai.

Amrish Puri

Meena Kumar also known as ‘Tragedy Queen of Indian cinema’, is known for her powerful performances in a number of hit films. She passed away on 31 March 1972 of liver cirrhosis at the age of 38. Her last movie 'Gomti Ke Kinare’ was released in 1972 after her death.

Rajesh Khanna

Referred to as the ‘First Superstar’ of the Indian cinema, Rajesh Khanna’s craze spanned three decades. He was diagnosed with cancer and passed away on July 18, 2012. After his death, his last movie 'Riyasat' was released in 2014. But it did not fare well at the box-office.

Yash Chopra

Filmmaker Yash Chopra the head honcho of Yash Raj Films was also known as ‘King of Romance’. He gave Bollywood some memorable romantic films. Chopra died on 21 October 2012 due to dengue fever at the age of 80. ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ was his last film but he passed away before the release of the film.
