Bollywood or Hindi cinema has lost some rare gems which cannot be replaced. Late stars like Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sridevi, Irrfan Khan, Yash Raj Chopra and more have contributed immensely to the film industry; however, there are some movies of them that were released after they passed away.

Rishi Kapoor: The veteran actor passed away on April 30, 2020, after valiantly fighting cancer. The actor’s sudden demise shocked everyone and left his fans in the void. Even though Rishi Kapoor had signed the Hindi remake of The Intern, his last movie is Sharmaji Namkeen. As he couldn’t complete the shoot of the film, Paresh Rawal stepped in to complete the movie. On the other hand, the late veteran star was replaced by Amitabh Bachchan in The Intern.

Sushant Singh Rajput: Another demise that shook the entire nation was of SSR. It was reported that he committed suicide at his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. Sushant’s last film Dil Bechara, directed by Mukesh Chhabra was released after his death on July 24, 2020. The movie made everyone nostalgic and teary-eyed.

Sridevi: The iconic star and female superstar Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018. She made a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma starrer Zero which was released in December after her demise.

Meena Kumari: The actor who was known as the Queen of Tragedy passed away in 1972 and her last film was released a couple of months after her demise was Gomti Kinari.
Yash Raj Chopra:Â One of the prolific filmmakers who have made iconic movies like Chandni, Silsila, Veer Zaara and more passed away on October 21, 2012, just months before his much-awaited film Jab Tak Hai Jaan was released. Yash Chopra’s last movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma was released on November 13, 2012.
Irrfan Khan:Â The veteran star passed away on April 29, 2020, after valiantly fighting cancer. He was suffering from a neuroendocrine tumour. After being treated for the same, Irrfan starrer Angrezi Medium was released; however, Irrfan Khan’s last movie was Murder at Teesri Manzil 302.

Madhubala: One of India’s finest and most gorgeous actresses Madhubala departed for her heavenly abode in 1969. Madhubala’s last movie, Jwala was released two years later in 1971.
Smita Patil:Â Arguably one of the talented and finest actresses of Bollywood passed away on 13 December 1986. Smita Patil’s last film was Mirch Masala where she played the feisty and fiery Sonbai. The film was released after her death in 1987.
