Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai got married to Abhishek Bachchan, son of megastar Amitabh Bachchan. She wore a traditional, golden yellow Kanjeevaram saree on her wedding,complete with Swarovski crystals and gold threadwork designed by Neeta Lulla. She kept her hair braided, and covered with flowers. She wore 22 karat gold jewellery, which included a gold and emerald armband.

Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu got hitched to popular television actor Karan Singh Grover. Bipasha was quite the traditional bride and chose the typical Indian colours of red and gold. Her blood-red lehenga-saree was heavy with gold and zari work. Not just the lehenga but even the blouse was filled with gold embroidery.

Urmila Matondkar

Urmila Matondkar married her Kashmiri boyfriend Mohsin Akhtar Mir. Urmila wore a red and pink bespoke lehenga from Manish Malhotra’s 'Regal Threads Benaras' collection.

Asin Thottumkal

Asin got married to Micromax founder Rahul Sharma. Asin opted for a Sabyasachi lehenga, red lips and winged liner for her Hindu wedding ceremony which was attended by 200 guests.

Esha Deol

The elder daughter of superstars Hema Malini and Dharmendra tied the knot to businessman Bharat Takhtani in June, 2012. Esha wore a bright red and gold lehenga, designed by Neeta Lulla, for her D-day. Her lehenga was made by combining three heavy Kanjeevaram sarees, which were specially ordered from South India. The dress was complemented by heavy traditional temple jewellery in gold.

Genelia D’Souza

Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh, tied the knot on February 3, 2012. For the Maharashtrian wedding, Genelia wore a bridal saree, designed by the Bollywood brides' favourite designer, Neeta Lulla. The saree had a gold kundan border. Traditional Maharashtrian jewellery completed Genelia's wedding day look.

Gul Panag

Gul Panag had a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony in a Gurudwara, in Chandigarh. She opted for an onion pink lehenga for her D-day, which was designed by J.J. Vallaya. Her bridal look was complete with a heavy gold neckpiece, earrings and maang tikka, studded with contrasting green stones. And, she even added cool glares to comfort her eyes during the daytime wedding.

Bollywood beauty Kajol and Ajay Devgn tied the knot in a typical Maharashtrian ceremony in February, 2009. Kajol wore a traditional Maharashtrian bridal saree with gold embroidery work on it.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's wedding has been one of the most talked about Bollywood weddings so far. For her wedding, Kareena wore her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore's wedding gharara, which was restored by Ritu Kumar. After the photo-ops of the royal couple, Kareena switched the gharara skirt for a comfortable churidaar and a lighter dupatta. Kareena later slipped into a Manish Malhotra designed burgundy colour lehenga with maroon dupatta. Kareena wore heavy gold and kundan jewellery on both the occasions respectively.

She tied the knot with businessman Raj Kundra on November 22, 2009. The wedding ceremony was a traditional Hindu one for which Shilpa wore a burgundy and red saree style lehenga. The saree was decorated with Swarovski crystals. Shilpa wore heavy Kundan jewellery, which perfectly matched her attire. She tied her hair in a braid covered with flowers.
