Dharmendra

Bollywood actor Dharmendra has also been active member of politics. He was elected as a Member of the Parliament in the 2004 general elections, from Bikaner in Rajasthan, on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Dharmendra rarely attended Parliament when the house was in session, preferring to spend the time shooting for movies or doing farm-work at his farm house.

Gul Panag

Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Gul Panag is running the Colonel Shamsher Singh Foundation, an NGO that works towards a variety of causes including gender equality, education and disaster management. Gul has chosen to stand for the Aam Aadmi Party. She was an active participant of JanLokpal Movement too.

Bollywood actor Govinda entered politics as a member of Indian National Congress. He was an MP from the Mumbai North Constituency from 2004 to 2009. During his tenure as the Member of Parliament, he was criticized for never playing any active role. He was mostly absent while the house was in session. He also did not participate in any debates or raise any queries regarding his constituency. On 20th January 2008, he decided to quit politics.
