After completeing his schooling from two different schools in Patna and New Delhi, he started pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Technological University. He dropped out of the college to pursue his career in acting.

Taapsee worked as a software professional and also pursued a career in modelling before becoming an actress. She completed her graduation in Computer Science Engineering from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in New Delhi, before working as a software engineer.
