2018 Wrap Up: List of Bollywood celebs who passed away this year

Sridevi

Legendary actress Sridevi passed away on 24 February 2018 due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in Dubai. She was 54. The Diva had gone to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding there. The actress was found unconscious in her bathroom by husband Boney Kapoor and immediately rushed to Rashid Hospital where she was declared dead.

Nargis Rabadi/Shammi

Veteran actress Shammi fondly called as 'Shammi aunty' passed away on 6th March, 2018 at the age of 89. She breathed her last at her Juhu Circle home. The actress was popular for her comic roles.

Rita Bhaduri

Veteran actor Rita Bhaduri died after fighting a kidney related ailment for many days; she was 62. A co-actor of Rita Bhaduri shared the news of her demise on Tuesday morning, 17th July 2018. The late actor died at Sujoy Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai where she was admitted.

Sujata Kumar

Actor Sujata Kumar, fondly remembered for playing late veteran actor Sridevi’s sibling in the 2012 film English Vinglish died of cancer in Auguts.Sujata had worked in several TV shows like Hotel Kingston and Bombay Talking. She also appeared in the Anil Kapoor-starrer '24' and movies like 'Raanjhanaa', 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein'.

Shri Vallabh Vyas

Bollywood actor Shri Vallabh Vyas, who played the memorable character of Ishwar Kaka in hit film 'Lagaan', passed away after a prolonged illness on January 7, 2018. The actor died at the age of 60.

Ava Mukherjee

Veteran actress and Shah Rukh Khan's on-screen grandmother from the film 'Devdas', Ava Mukherjee, passed away on January 15, 2018 at the age of 88 in Mumbai. Ava was a known face in the world of commercials too.

Narendra Jha

Actor Narendra Jha passed away on March 13, 2018, due to a massive heart attack. He was 55-years-old and his medical treatment was going on in Kokilaben Hospital.

Ustad Pyarelal Wadali

Legendary singer Pyarelal Wadali, one of the singers of the Sufi set Wadali brothers died at the age of 75 in March this year. Even he suffered a cardiac arrest. Pyarelal along with his brother has lent his voice for Bollywood songs like 'Aye Rangrez Mere' for 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Ik Tu Hi Tu Hi' for Shahid Kapoor's 'Mausam' in 2011.

Mohammad Aziz

Veteran Bollywood singer, Mohammed Aziz passed away on November 27 due to cardiac arrest. He was 64 at the time of his death. Aziz was more popular in the 80s and 90s and his hit songs include ‘My name is Lakhan’, ‘Lal Dupatta Mal Mal Ka’, ‘Ae Mere Dost Laut Ke Aaja’, ‘Saawan Ke Jhoolon Ne’ among several others.

Nitin Bali, one of the most successful exponents of the remix era in Bollywood, died in a Road accident on October 9, 2018.
