Naam Shabana
The recently released action spy-thriller 'Naam Shabana' has been banned in Pakistan due to some scenes based on terrorism in the movie. The movie stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role and Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
Jolly LL.B 2
Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Jolly LL.B 2' was banned by the Censor Board of Pakistan as the courtroom drama had some references to Kashmir issues. A source close to a web portal had quoted, "In the movie, Akshay Kumar plays a lawyer who treats his profession casually until he comes across the case of an innocent man who is killed and declared a Kashmiri militant, while the real Kashmiri militant goes into hiding in Uttar Pradesh. Bringing up the issue has not gone down well with the Pakistani censor board. They’ve banned the film, as they intend to ban all Indian films that bring up the Kashmir issue."
Raees
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Raees' depicted the protagonist who is a Muslim as a bootlegger and since alcohol is against Islamic laws, the movie faced a ban in Pakistan. The movie also marked the debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and it was indeed saddening for her as the movie was banned in her hometown.
Khiladi 786
This Khiladi series with the number '786', was banned as soon as the poster was released. Muslims have a religious significance of the number '786'. Considered very sacred to Islam, the usage of the number in a comedy film was deemed to be hurtful for Islamic sentiments and therefore led to a ban on the promo and eventually the complete film got scrapped in Pakistan.
Agent Vinod
The way that Agent Vinod tanked without a follow in India is an alternate story however the Saif Ali Khan spy film didn't even get the opportunity to turn out in Pakistan. Specialists Vinod got banned days before its planned discharge inferable from its plot which set up Pakistan's ISI as the opposition to India component.
The Dirty Picture
Every 'A' certificate movie that releases in India, chances are high that movie won't release in Pakistan. Vidya Balan's boldest movie The Dirty Picture, in which she played a sex siren Silk Smitha was something that Pakistani censor board didn't pass and the movie was banned in Pakistan.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan
Any Bollywood movie in which there is Indian Army, Pakistan will always ban that movie. After the promo was released, the movie got banned owing to certain dialogues which hinted at the Pak army. But after Yash Chopra's sudden demise, the movie was released in Pakistan.
Ek Tha Tiger
Another Eid release to court trouble in Pakistan was Ek Tha Tiger. The plot of the movie dealt with altercations between the intelligence agencies of India and Pakistan i.e RAW and ISI respectively. No wonder, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer spy flick was declared 'problematic' and put on indefinite hold in Pakistan.
Tere Bin Laden
Tere Bin Laden was banned in Pakistan because it dealt with the controversies of Al-Qaeda cheif Osama Bin Laden. This comedy flick was accused of containing vulgar and objectional dialogues, abuses and derogatory remarks and also labelled as anti enforcing agencies of Pakistan. Hence the ban.
Raanjhanaa
The Central Board of Film Censors (CFBC) banned the film before its scheduled release in Pakistan. Chief executive officer of IMGC Global Entertainment Amjad Rasheed, the importer of Raanjhanaa, revealed that he received a letter from the CBFC with directives to shelve the film's release which stated that the film portrays an inapt image of a Muslim girl (played by Sonam Kapoor) falling in love with a Hindu man and having an affair with him.
Phantom
Phantom was demanded to be banned by Hafiz Muhammad Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The film is about 26/11 attacks based on book Mumbai Avengers by Hussain Zaidi. Lahore High Court banned movie on 20 August 2015 as federal government wanted petition by Hafiz Muhammad Saeed to be dismissed due to its uselessness and the government doesn't wanted to be involved unnecessarily because no one in Pakistan asked for NOC to screen the film.
Calendar Girls
Calendar Girls was banned by Pakistan due to objection in one of the dialogue in the film.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biographical film based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. The reason for the ban in Pakistan is apparently a dialogue that Farhan's character says in the film, which goes, "Mujhse nahi hoga. Main Pakistan nahi jaonga." Apparently, in the film Farhan Akhtar is asked to head to Pakistan and he refuses as his parents were killed during the partition in 1947.
Bangistan
Bangistan is a film about two suicide bombers and the movie was banned by the Pakistan's Central Board of Film Censors.
Baby
Baby was banned in Pakistan by the censor boards in Islamabad and Karachi, stating that "it portrays a negative image of Muslims and the negative characters in the film also have Muslim names".
Haider
Shahid Kapoor's Haider was banned in Pakistan as it depicts Kashmir insurgency, a sensitive issue in country.
