Abhishek Bachchan v/s Hrithik Roshan
These two heartthrobs have been childhood buddies and also started off their Bollywood careers at the same time with Abhishek Bachchan in 'Refugee' and Hrithik Roshan in 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai'. Hrithik Roshan with his charming personality won many hearts for his debut movie and the movie did well at the box office. On the other hand, Abhishek's 'Refugee'was a box office failure. It all came in public when 'Dhoom 2' was on the role when Abhishek and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared screen space with Hrithik Roshan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's first on screen kiss with Hrithik made it worse.
Shah Rukh Khan v/s Aamir Khan
These Bollywood celebrities' cold war goes way back in time when Shah Rukh Khan won the Filmfare award for 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' and Aamir Khan felt that he deserved the title for his film 'Rangeela'. Since then Aamir vowed he won't be attending anymore award functions.
Shah Rukh Khan v/s Amitabh Bachchan
Big B and King Khan have their cold war going on since ages. It all started when Big B decided to come back in Bollywood and when he did a lot. Not only was the industry creating unconventional roles with Amitabh in mind, but he was also minting money with endorsements by the dozen. He was again popular among Indian audiences which was a threat to SRK's market value. Shah Rukh Khan then followed Big B's path and conquered 'Kaun Banega Crorepati-3', 'Navratna' oil ad campaign, 'Don' and had a statue at the Madame Tussauds.
Kareena Kapoor v/s Priyanka Chopra
Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra shared screen space in movie 'Aitraaz'. Kareena played the role of a devoted wife and was pretty confident for all she wanted was the whole limelight. But as luck would have it, Priyanka's shades of grey character was loved by the Indian audience. After that Kareena decided to do a cameo song 'Yeh Mera Dil' in 'Don', even then Priyanka's 'Aaj Ki Raat' overshadowed Kareena's performance. On 'Koffee with Karan', Kareena was asked her thoughts on Priyanka Chopra, but she refused to acknowledge the very existence of Ms Chopra in the industry.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan v/s Rani Mukerji
Aishwarya and Rani were on really good terms till came the movie offer of 'Chalte Chalte'. It is said Rani Mukerji replaced Aishwarya Rai in the movie. The chemistry between SRK and Rani was fantastic. But since then, Rani and Ash have been distant.
Kareena Kapoor v/s Bipasha Basu
Kareena, known as the pampered drama queen of Bollywood, during the shoot of 'Ajnabee', she didn't like the fact that everyone on the sets was smitten by Bipasha's sex appeal and simplicity. She even referred to Bips as 'Kalli Billi' which didn't go well with the Bong beauty which we could see on the episode on 'Koffee with Karan'.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan v/s Sushmita Sen
When these two beauties of Bollywood saw each other for the first time, they knew they are rivals. Well of course they met at a beauty pageant where Aishwarya Rai was crowned Miss India and Sushmita Sen was a runner up. Since then, the cold war has never ended.
Rani Mukerji v/s Preity Zinta
In movies like 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega' and 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke', Preity and Rani shared sisterly bonds and their performances were amazing. We don't really know what went wrong between them, but Rani stated on 'Koffee with Karan' that they don't hang out together anymore. On the same, Preity opted to stay silent.
Deepika Padukone v/s Sonam Kapoor
These two started their Bollywood career in the same year with Deepika Padukone's 'Om Shanti Om' and Sonam Kapoor's 'Saawariya'. 'Om Shanti Om' did pretty well at the box office whereas 'Saawariya' was a failure. Sonam Kapoor's ego was hurt and to top it all Ranbir Kapoor was wooed by Deepika Padukone with her charming smile.
Shah Rukh Khan v/s Ajay Devgn
Shah Rukh Khan shares a very good rapport with Kajol, but apparently not so good with Ajay Devgn. All this cold war started when Rakesh Roshan had approached SRK and Ajay Devgn for his film 'Karan-Arjun'. Ajay Devgn being a full time action hero back then, did not like the script and tried to convince SRK to not sign the film. But SRK decided to take up the project without telling Ajay about it.
Salman Khan v/s Vivek Oberoi
The rivalry between Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi started in the year 2003 when Vivek called for a press conference to announce that Salman had threatened him. It all started with their love and possessiveness for the very beautiful Aishwarya Rai. Ash who was in a relationship with Salman, soon after their superhit Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', moved on from him due to his violent behaviour. She found solace in the company of Vivek Oberoi while working with him in the movie 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na' in 2004. Although, Ash never expressed her admiration and love for Oberoi publicly, Vivek was all open about his love for the Miss World. That irked Salman who apparently threatened Vivek to stay away from Aishwarya. This led to Vivek calling for a press conference and that seemed like the biggest mistake of his life. As soon after the press conference, Ash distanced herself from Vivek and his career went downwards. Following this incident, Vivek even apologised to Salman publicly, but he didn't accept his apologies. It's been more than a decade now, but Oberoi is still paying the price for it as he still has to face questions related to Salman and that lands him in an uncomfortable situation. Even though all three of them have moved on personally in their lives, the rivalry between the two of them will not fade out anytime soon.
Rivalry has always been a part of Bollywood, even childhood friends could not stand the test of time in this industry. There is so much competition of being and aiming higher than the other star that it is unreal how best of friends become enemies.
