Brahmastra to Pathaan: Upcoming Bollywood movies that have a big budget of over 300 crore

After movies like Baahubali and Dangal, upcoming big budget movies in Bollywood and Indian cinema are something that cinema goers enjoy. While theatres are functioning in full capacity now, it is nothing but a treat for cinema lovers. And who would not love witnessing the larger than life visuals, sharp VFX, and high octane entertainment on the silver screen. This year, the list of upcoming big budget Bollywood movies is too long!

From movies like Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, to Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan, Salman Khan movie Tiger 3 and several others; here’s a list of the upcoming Bollywood movies that have a big budget of over 300 crore.

Brahmastra

The movie is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Brahmastra is scheduled to release on Septemeber 9 and is touted to be the biggest budget movie. The films sees Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva and Alia Bhatt as Isha in key roles. It is made on a budget of over 300 crore.

Ponniyin Selvan-Part One

The movie Ponniyin Selvan Part One is directed by Mani Ratnam and has a spectacular cast. The film stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Jayaram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vikram Prabhu. It is based on the Chola dynasty (the longest ruling dynasty in the world) and is made on a budget of approximately 500 crore.

Adipurush

The Om Raut directorial Adipurush is inspired by Ramayana. The film features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in key roles. As per reports, Prabhas will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram, also known as Adi Purush, while Saif will essay the role of Lanka King, Ravana. The movie is reportedly made on a budget of 400 crore.

Tiger 3

The movie Tiger 3 is the third instalment of the Tiger franchise. Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi are set to feature in the Maneesh Sharma directorial. The movie is reportedly made on a budget of 350 crore.

Pathaan

The movie Pathaan marks the acting comeback of Shah Rukh Khan after his big hiatus. The movie is made on a budget of approximately 250-300 crores. It will also feature Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The high voltage action drama is scheduled to release in theatres in January 2023.

Bade Miyan Chotey Miyan

Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda classic Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is being remade. And, the movie will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is set to feature Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, and is made on a budget of 300 crore.
