August 6, 2023 marks International Friendship Day and from what Bollywood movies have taught us, friendship is to be celebrated extravagantly. While we might lack the means and resources that are easily available on screen, we do can celebrate with them if not like them. Bollywood knows how to celebrate friendship and if you are looking to do that too, here are 7 movies you should rewatch with your best friend this weekend.

Dil Chahta Hai

With this Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna and Saif Ali Khan starrer, Farhan Akhtar made an impressive directorial debut. Along with it, he took Goa tourism on another scale and made it a dream to take road trip with your friends. The complexities of friendship and the beauty of it is celebrated amazingly in this film. This surely needs to be on your watchlist.

Dostana

We have learned over the years that no relationship that starts on a lie can last much longer. But once you embrace the truth, it can give rise to something beautiful. The friendship between Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Dostana shows one such relationship. SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus brought pride and laurel to India. Not just Friendship Day, but it needs to be celebrated each and every day.
