Riya Sen
Suchitra Sen's granddaughter, Riya Sen, had high hopes to make a successful Bollywood career. She made her debut with 'Style' which proved to be a decent hit at the box office. But Riya did not gain anything from her grand debut as she failed to establish herself as an actor.
Aarya Babbar
Son on Raj Babbar and Nadira Babbar, Aarya Babbar made his Bollywood debut with film 'Ab Ke Baras'. He had a lead role to romance his ladylove Amrita Rao. But post this, he has only appeared as a supporting character in Bollywood films.
Harman Baweja
Apparently the lookalike of Hrithik Roshan, Harman Baweja made quite some noise with his debut film 'Love Story 2050'. He had Priyanka Chopra playing his ladylove in the film, but he failed to impress audience with his performance. None of following films made it big at the box office and now, he is nowhere to be seen on big screen.
Esha Deol
Dream girl Hema Malini's daughter Esha Deol made her grand debut with the film 'Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe', but unfortunately she couldn't match up the level of her mother. She appeared in many films, but the only thing we can remember is her item song in 'Dhoom'.
Tusshar Kapoor
Jeetendra's son Tusshar Kapoor was expected to be a charmer just like his father. But unfortunately, that was not the case. Tusshar made his big debut with 'Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai' with Kareena Kapoor Khan, but failed to spread his charm. Though he appeared in quite a few films later on, but he failed to establish himself as a successful actor.
Uday Chopra
Uday Chopra, son of Late Yash Chopra, could not achieve great heights in the world of cinema. He made his acting debut with the film 'Mohabbatein' that also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Love saga was a hit and Uday managed to make his presence felt with his hot persona. But good looks and hot abs couldn't take him any further, and after trying to revive himself from Yashraj ventures like 'Dhoom' series and 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', this Bollywood debut too fuzzed out.
Imran Khan
Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan made his Bollywood debut with the film 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na'. It also starred Genelia D'Souza. The film was an instant hit among the youth and so was Imran Khan. But what after that! Imran featured in flop films like 'Luck', 'Break Ke Baad' to name some. Even though there are few hits to his name like 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' and 'I Hate Luv Storys', Imran's career has taken a plunge.
Going by the notion of, ‘Well begun is half done’, it is stated that a grand Bollywood debut is good enough to make you popular in the industry. We have good examples of stars like Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and many more who received acclaim from their first film itself and then there was no looking back for them. But perhaps, not everyone is lucky. There are a few contrary examples of the stars, who made a grand entry in Bollywood with their debut film, but failed to build a successful career in the following years.
