friendship day

‘Two actors can never be friends’ is often heard in showbiz. Be it cold wars between superstars of Bollywood or catfights between actresses, several B-town stars have seen several ups and downs in their friendship. However, we do have a few celeb duos who went from being friends to enemies to friends again.

From Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan to Kareena Kapoor Khan-Priyanka Chopra Jonas, there are many celebrities who became friends again after a fallout. This Friendship Day, let’s have a look at celeb-duos who continue to be friends despite past tiffs.

Shah Rukh Khan – Salman Khan

The Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan story is one for the screen. The superstars went from being real-life Karan Arjun to frenemies to best buddies again. What started off as a great friendship right during their first film together – Karan Arjun – soon took a U-turn. The stars went through their share of ups and downs. After a major fallout in 2008, they hugged it out a couple of years later and have set friendship goals ever since. So much so that Salman even did a cameo in SRK’s comeback film Pathaan. Well, looks like this one’s gonna last forever.

Aamir Khan – Shah Rukh Khan

After being friends initially, there was a longstanding cold war between the two Khans. The two often said not-so-polite things about each other in public and made unsavoury jokes at each other’s expense. In one of his blog posts, Aamir once wrote, â€œShah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?”  He later said he was referring to a dog named ‘Shah Rukh’ in his house. However, Shah Rukh and Aamir both buried the hatchet later. SRK even did a cameo in Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha last year and the two seem to be on more cordial terms now.

Sanjay Dutt – Salman Khan

Sanjay and Salman became good friends during the shooting of their film Saajan. But not many know that both artists were not on good terms at a certain point in their careers. According to reports, once Sanjay felt that Salman was behaving arrogantly after achieving unprecedented success in his career. It was also said that the two superstars had a verbal spat after which both the actors refused to speak to each other for a long time. However, later Sanjay had rubbished all tiff reports by calling Bhai his ‘younger brother’.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas – Kareena Kapoor Khan

Well, this one started on the very famous Koffee With Karan. Their infamous catfight and reunion both played out publicly on Karan Johar’s talk show. Kareena mocked Priyanka’s accent and the latter didn’t stay quiet either. This was right after Kareena and Shahid Kapoor split up and she started dating Saif Ali Khan, while Priyanka and Shahid were keeping their relationship under wraps. However, the two appeared on Season 6 of Koffee with Karan and seemed to be on good terms with each other.

Amitabh Bachchan – Shah Rukh Khan

Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s cold war lasted years. When Big B’s Bollywood career was failing, SRK took over quite a few of his brand endorsements and, most significantly, KBC away from him. He also starred in a remake of Big B’s Don which went on to become a box office hit. But over the years, they forgot about their differences and now appear cordial in public events. Some also credit this change to Shah Rukh’s good friend – Aishwarya Rai – joining the Bachchan family

Kajol – Karan Johar

Kajol and Karan were inseparable. They were B-town’s most honest BFFs. But even the best of friends disagree on many matters and end up fighting. And since the two were childhood friends, when a 25-year-old friendship went kaput, it definitely made headlines. In 2016, during the release of two big films, Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay, things went sour between the best friends. However, after a dramatic fight, the two reunited and even spoke about it when Kajol and Ajay appeared on KJo’s Koffee With Karan 6.

Deepika Padukone – Katrina Kaif

Everything was well between Deepika and Katrina until the latter started dating DP’s ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. It seemed to be a sore point for their friendship. However, when Deepika married Ranveer Singh in 2018, Katrina attended their reception. The two actresses publicly spoke about leaving behind their enmity for good.
