Aditi played Sonam Kapoor’s bua (paternal aunt) in ‘Delhi 6’
We are sure not many people knew this, or remembered, that Aditi Rao Hydari’s first Bollywood film was ‘Delhi 6’. Surprisingly, Aditi played the role of Sonam Kapoor’s bua (paternal aunt) in the movie. Well, let us tell you that she is a year younger than Sonam.
After debut, continuing with supporting roles
While she had a very small role in ‘Delhi 6’, she later got good supporting roles in movies ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ and ‘Rockstar’. For her performance in the former, she also received Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) at an award function.
Finally, her first film as a lead
After impressing everyone with her supporting roles, Aditi finally got a lead role in a movie titled ‘London, Paris, New York’.
And then there was no looking back!
After ‘London, Paris, New York’, there was no looking back for Aditi. She went on to do lead roles in movies like ‘Murder 3’, ‘Boss’, ‘Wazir’, etc.
From a side actor to a talent to watch out for…
Aditi was winning hearts with her great performances and moviegoers started liking her. She had an extended cameo in ‘Fitoor’, and believe us she was one those very few elements that impressed us in the movie.
Finally, a titular role
In less than a decade, Aditi has proved that she is one of the best actresses we have in the industry. And now, she is all set for her first titular role in Omung Kumar’s ‘Bhoomi’. In the trailer and promos, Aditi stands out and it is not easy to leave a mark when you have an actor like Sanjay Dutt standing next to you. But, Aditi is surely a reason everyone is looking forward to the movie.

After ‘Bhoomi’, we will get to see Aditi in ‘Padmavati’. The actress plays Sultan Alauddin Khilji’s wife in the film, and we are sure that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given a powerful character to her. Aditi has a long way to go in Bollywood.
