Popular television star Gurmeet Choudhary is celebrating his birthday on February 22. The television heartthrob is known for his Greek god looks and chiselled body. The handsome hunk garnered much fame post his stint in the mythological series Ramayana as Ram. With his extraordinary good looks, macho physique, strong acting skills and powerful fan base Gurmeet is one of the superstar’s of Indian Television.

Gurmeet has an army background as his father Mr Sitaram Choudhary was in the army. Hence, he got to stay in many different parts of India. However, he was born in Chandigarh and was brought up majorly in Jabalpur and Chennai. Married to television beauty Debina Bonnerjee, the actor was also seen in Star One’s Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. The audiences loved him as Maan Singh Khurana and then followed Punar Vivah where he was seen as Yash Sindhia. He has also participated in three reality shows namely Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Pati Patni Aur Woh and Nach Baliye.

Gurmeet also grew his hair for one and a half years to add authenticity to his role.

7. The actor prefers to perform his own stunts. Once during his guest performance in the show, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, he decided to perform a dangerous fire stunt himself. But things went wrong with the stunt and his costume caught fire and he also injured his knee. But the dedicated actor completed the performance with grace.

8. Khamoshiyaan is considered to be his Bollywood debut but not many know that Gurmeet has been a part of a movie called Cycle Kick produced by Subhash Ghai.
