Yuva
On the occasion of Abhishek Bachchan's birthday, let's take a quick walk through some of his best performances. Starting off with Mani Ratnam's 'Yuva' which had an ensemble cast comprising of Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol, Sonu Sood, apart from Abhishek Bachchan. The movie was critically acclaimed. And in spite of having so many talented actors onboard, Abhishek managed to hold his own in his grey character of Lallan. He even bagged the Filmfare Award for the same. The movie proved that he could pull off a baddie with ease.
Dhoom
The success of 'Dhoom' franchise is largely attributed to Abhishek's cop act of ACP Jai Dixit. As much as we loved John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan's badass acts, Abhishek gave a tough fight to them all in his charming cop avatar.
Bunty Aur Babli
While, he played negative roles, cop roles and romantic roles with ease, he equally made us laugh with his character of Bunty in the movie 'Bunty Aur Babli'. In the movie, he along with Rani Mukerji are the perfect masterminds who fooled people off their money. From a lover boy to a conman, Abhishek pulled of the role perfectly.
Guru
The movie 'Guru' is one of the best movies of Abhishek Bachchan, thanks to his brilliant performance. His role apparently modelled on industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani met with the loudest cheers and praises from all quarters.
Dostana
It was a bold move from Bachchan Junior when he took on the character of a gay man opposite John Abraham in the much acclaimed 'Dostana'. The actors' chemistry onscreen met with praises and the movie became a superhit. It was a big move from Bachchan Junior and she pulled it off with utmost ease.
Paa
The movie 'Paa' had Abhishek sharing screen space with his father, Mr Amitabh Bachchan. It's no cakewalk managing to stand out in front of Big B, yet Abhishek gave an amazing performance. And this time, he turned father to Big B, as the latter was playing a character who is suffering from progeria.
It’s Abhishek Bachchan’s birthday today and what better a way to celebrate it than remember some of his best performances?! The actor has largely remained an underrated performer and we say this because he has given some gem-worthy performances in the past.
