Venture as a producer
Sadhana turned producer for once in 1989. Titled 'Pati Parmeshwar', the film starred Dimple Kapadia.
An international inspiration
In 'Mera Naam Geeta', Sadhana performed a number titled 'Mujhe Maar Dalo'. With this film, Saroj Khan debuted as a choreographer. A set of non-lexical vocables were from this soon picked up and used by American rapper J Dila in his album 'Donuts'.
Directorial debut
Sadhana turned director with 'Mera Naam Geeta' in 1974 with her husband as the producer. The film featured herself in lead.
India’s first Sindhi film
Sadhana was cast in a film titled 'Abaana' in 1958; it is considered the first Sindhi film made in India.
And the cupid struck
Sadhana fell in love with RK Nayyar on the sets of 'Love in Simla' wherein she was the lead actress. She was young at age and her parents were in no mood to marry her off. But they tied the knot in 1966 and were together for almost 30 years until Nayyar took his last breathe in 1995.
The lesser known sisters
Sadhana happens to be the sister of actress Babita Kapoor. Sadhana's father was the brother of Hari Shivdasani, Babita's father.
Debut in Bollywood
Sadhana Shivdasani's debut in showbiz happened when she played a chorus girl in the song 'Mur Mur Ke Na Dekh Mur Mur Ke' from Raj Kapoor's 'Shree 420'.
She was an artist, a trendsetter, and a lady with mindblowing gorgeousness. Yesteryear actress Sadhana Shivdasani, who took her last breathe in December 2015. The lady who stole hearts of all fashionistas with her fringes and got it named ‘Sadhana cut’ after her name, has given us films to cherish.
