Late actor Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, due to a colon infection. He was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and got treated. As the actor has left for his heavenly abode, his elder son Babil Khan keeps him alive not only in his memory but on social media as well as he keeps sharing some rare and precious posts on him that are extremely emotional. Babil digs through his archives and retrieves some unseen bits about his life and ensures to share them with his fans. Babil is often seen sharing those unseen pictures and videos which sort of also makes us a part of his life. Similarly, on Irrfan Khan death anniversary, Babil once again shared a beautiful note on him saying how he is still not ready to move on.

After the demise of Irrfan Khan, Babil had shared a throwback picture with his father and mentioned the most important thing his father taught him as a student of cinema. A part of his post read, “Before I went to film school, he warned me that I’ll have to prove myself as Bollywood is seldom respected in world cinema and at these moments I must inform about the indian cinema that’s beyond our controlled Bollywood. Unfortunately, it did happen. Bollywood was not respected, no awareness of 60’s – 90’s Indian cinema or credibility of opinion. There was literally one single lecture in the world cinema segment about indian cinema called ‘Bollywood and Beyond’, that too gone through in a class full of chuckles.”

Babil shared a beautiful moment of his father when he went out for a swim. We thank Babil for sharing such a prized moment with fans.

When Babil shared pictures of Irrfan Khan’s younger days, the time when he was doing theatres and plays. He was born to be a star.

It is always fun to see a BTS video of any movie. Luckily, thanks to Babil, we came across a very rare moment of Irrfan from the sets of his film Angrezi Medium where he is seen singing ‘Mera Saaya’ song with his wife Sutapa Sikdar.

Babil had shared an old photo of Irrfan and wrote, “For in my dreams, I have no knowledge of your desertion. In my dreams today, you told me you were about to leave me and you held me for so long. Imagine the fact that I just woke up cause my phone rang for yet another offer to act, for yet another film. Now what sense does all this make without you Baba? I’d rather keep dreaming.”

Irrfan Khan’s son not only shares his photos but some moments with his mother as well. Sharing a monochrome picture of his parents and the new picture, he wrote, “Mamma and baba in NSD cut to mamma and baba 35 years later.”

Babil had shared a handsome photo of Irrfan from his younger days and we are already missing this terrific actor.

A family photo is always the best thing one can see. When Babil had shared a family photo, it simply touched our hearts. He captioned, “Our family is one strange family. Worst was comparing to the “image” of perfect neighbours. You’re all weird families, and that is one of the most beautiful things about us humans. Our undeniable fear of having no clue on what to do but still pursuing, denying that fear instead.”

Sharing a happy picture of Irrfan, Babil wrote, “Dropping his joy here for his fans because it has been a while.” Well, it really did bring a smile to our faces.

To the greatest best friend, companion, brother, father, I ever had and ever will have. I love you so much, for the rest of this chaos we are choosing to call life.”
