A lot of personal research has gone into the portrayal of Komaram Bheem. Bheem was a tribal leader, a local hero and he was not that popular across India. Jr NTR studied the life of the locally sung hero to embody the look and nail down the body language of the character. The actor was put through a hectic training program for 18 months. Weighing 71 kilos, the actor was expected to put on about 9 kilos of muscle mass.
