Kalki Koechlin admitted to have experienced the casting couch but she managed to slip through it. In an interview, she said, “I must say, of course, it exists! It did try and entangle me in its grip but I am slippery, I always managed to get out of it. The minute I felt uncomfortable, I walked away!'' Casting couch is a menace and Bollywood has to have zero tolerance policy towards it.

Sexually harassed as child

Kalki Koechlin in one of her interviews also revealed that she was sexually abused as a girl child. Kalki revealed that at the age of nine she underwent this trauma of being sexually harassed. “The reason I spoke out about my sexual abuse is not to get people to feel sorry for me but to give others who have had similar circumstances the confidence to talk about it. I allowed someone to have sex with me at the age of nine, not understanding fully what it meant and my biggest fear after was that my mother would find out. I felt it was my mistake and so I kept it hidden for years. If I had had the confidence or awareness to confide in my parents it would have saved me years of complexes about my own sexuality. It’s important that parents remove the taboo around the word sex or private parts so kids can speak openly and be saved from potential abuse.”

Kalki used to be in a relationship with 'Neerja' and theatre actor Jim Sarbh. According to a report in Scoop Whoop, Kalki and Jim had moved in together and were pretty serious about their relationship.
