Will Kiara Advani and Akshay Kumar’s jodi get third time lucky with ‘Laxmii’?

Akshay Kumar is all set to yet again entertain the audience with his latest offering, “Laxmii” along with Kiara Advani. The film is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Kanchana and deals with a ghost seeking vengeance for being wronged and haunts everyone who is staying in the house. However, this is not the first time that Kiara and Akshay will be swaying the audience away with their performance. The duo has worked together in the past and has served good entertainment to the audience.

Today, we will take a look at how Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani are yet again waiting to enthral the audience together.

Akshay Kumar and Kiara first worked together in ‘Fugly’. Akshay was the producer on ‘Fugly’ and the film was a debut vehicle for Kiara. The film is about four friends and their fight against a corrupt police officer who extorts money from them for not framing them in a murder which the officer committed himself. The film stars also Mohit Marwah, Vijender Singh, Arfi Lamba and Jimmy Sheirgill. The film was a moderate success and made producers take notice of Kiara.

The next film where Kiara and Akshay were seen together was the 2019 release ‘Good Newwz’, a comedy which also starred Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film is about two couples with the same surnames, who pursue in-vitro fertilization and wait for their upcoming babies. Trouble ensues when they find that the sperms of each couple have been mixed with each other. Although, Akshay and Kiara weren’t paired opposite each other in this film but, their comic timing and chemistry as co – actors aided by Diljit and Kareena’s performances took the film to another level and delivered the wholesome entertainment to the audience.

The duo will now be seen together again in, “Laxmii”. Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of man who’s possessed by the spirit of a transgender named Laxmi. The film was earlier titled. “Laxmmi Bomb”. However, its title was recently changed following a massive social media backlash where people accused it of hurting the sentiments. The film directed by Raghava Lawrence releases on November 9 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Besides Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, ‘Laxmii’ also features Ashwini Kalsekar, Sharad Kelkar, Manu Rishi and Ayesha Raza.
