It is a sad day for music and entertainment industry as singer-songwriter Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK is no more. The singer died in Kolkata on Tuesday. He was 53. He was in Kolkata for a concert which was organized by a college at Nazrul Mancha. As per reports, he performed at the concert for an hour. He reportedly fell ill after the concert and was declared dead at CMRI Hospital.

Several pictures and videos of the singer are going viral on social media. Fans of the legendary singer are heartbroken. KK will be remembered for his songs including Pal, Yaaron, Ankhon Mein Teri, O Jaana and Tu Jo Mila. We’ve compiled a list of his unknown facts that every fan should know.

The singer worked in a hotel industry before moving to Mumbai to pursue music.

It might take you by surprise that KK was not a trained classical musician. In an interview with TOI, he had shared that he used to learn a song by simply listening to it. Later, when he came to know that Kishore Kumar never learned music, he had more reasons to not go to a music class.
