After a reinvented outlook with a ‘konscience’ this time, Koffee With Karan 8 came to an end finally. And just like all the episodes, the finale was no less spicy and fun. With the digital sensation Orry coming in as a special guest to an ‘influencing’ jury for the awards, the final episode had it all. And as host Karan Johar bid adieu to the audience this season, here’s the major highlights of the Koffee With Karan 8 finale.

Orry reveals his first job

The question on the whole nation’s mind for a long time has been, ‘What does Orry do?’ While we got another quirky answer from the digital sensation that he does ‘his best’, he did reveal his first job. Orry revealed that his first job was as a chauffeur in the US. And interestingly, he had to be the chauffeur for Kajol, who interestingly denied him a selfie at the time. As Karan pointed out, irony is that he is today one of the closest friends of her daughter Nysa Devgn.

Orry blames Boney Kapoor for his stardom

Orry has become a permanent feature on everyone’s Instagram today. But he blames it all on Boney Kapoor. He shared that his stint with fame started when he attended a party at Boney’s. When the paps shouted his name and he got all excited, it was Boney who pushed him to pose for them. He even introduced him as one of his own kids. Now we know the origin story of Orry.

Karan Johar reacts to Zoya Akhtar launching 3 star kids with The Archies

Over the last few years, Karan got the infamous tag of launching only star kids. But the gone year, Zoya Akhtar launched Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor with The Archies. When asked about how it felt seeing someone else do what he is known for, Karan replied in zest, “I felt like my crown was taken away.” He added that his best till now had been launching two star kids max in a film, but Zoya even crossed that.

Koffee Awards

As tradition, the season ended with the Koffee Awards and the Kajol- Rani Mukerji episode, and Saif Ali Khan emerged the favourites. Not just that, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh episode got a Special Jury Award too. A new category was introduced as the Best Koffee Burns and Varun Dhawan emerged its first winner for roasting Karan by calling him ‘Shadiram Ghar Tode’.

Ananya Panday thanks Aditya Roy Kapur for her award

Even though she didn’t win the Rapid Fire on her episode, the jury comprising of Kusha Kapila, Danish Sait, Tanmay Bhat and Sumukhi Suresh, adjudged Ananya’s performance as the Best Rapid Fire of the season. She shared the honour with Saif. When called to give the good news, Ananya gave her acceptance speech. The actress was asked if she wanted to thank the ‘coy’ man aka boyfriend Aditya Roy Kapur for making her win due to her answer on him. She slyly said, “I’d like to thank a certain Coy Kapur for this one.”
