After Kajol and Rani Mukerji, Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal graced the new episode of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan season 8. And as expected, Vicky and Kiara, who have worked in Lust Stories and Govinda Naam Mera, were fun to watch. From Kiara recalling husband-actor Sidharth Malhotra’s proposal to Vicky Kaushal talking about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Dunki, and revealing his sweet proposal story, the duo was entertaining. When Shah Rukh Khan apologised to Vicky Kaushal: Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal will be seen together in Dunki. On the show, Vicky recalled an incident and said, “He (SRK) had to rush for some important work. It was a very critical kind of moment in the film for my character which was with him. And he just couldn’t be there for that shot. And I had to give that shot with a body double. Then he got done with his and everything and late in the night, he called. And I missed the call because there was an event.”

He added, “And then he messaged me. A very long message saying, ‘Vicky, we’ll do that shot again. I am really sorry that I missed that. I couldn’t be there to give just the cues. And I couldn’t be there. We’ll do that shot again.’ And I had to call him and convince him that Raju sir was happy. And it went okay. There is no need. And I don’t know whether I’ll be able to do that again. I was nervous but he’s like ‘no, we’ll do that again. I’m feeling terrible that I wasn’t there.’ And then, the next day, he came on set. He saw those shots. He was happy with those shots. And only then he was ok that, ‘ok, we don’t have to reshoot to give my shoulder in the shot’ That’s him.”

Kiara Advani recalls Sidharth Malhotra’s romantic proposal in Rome: Kiara shared, “It was our first family holiday with me and his family. I had a little bit of an inclination that he would propose. So, when we decided and told each other that this is what we want for the rest of our lives, I told him ‘All this is fine, but you have to speak to my parents’. And he said, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I said, ‘You first ask them and take their permission. Let’s do it the right way. They’ll be happy. My mom unfortunately had COVID so she couldn’t travel with us. My parents were in Mumbai. We went. We went with his parents.”

The actress added, “It did comes a surprise because I didn’t know where on this trip and also in my head, I was like, I hope he does propose because now I’ve built it up. He did it. He took us to a Michelin star restaurant. And his nephew was with us, who was the one who was supposed to take the photos and capture the moment and everything. I am sleepy because I had just landed and joined them on this trip. He’s planned the works. He’s done the candlelight dinner on top. We go back after dinner. He takes me up. ‘Let’s go for a walk. We go up and suddenly the violinist comes out of the bushes playing and sweetly his little nephew is taking our video from the bushes. And Sid goes on one knee and proposes. I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t say anything. And he, after his whole speech, doesn’t know what to say to me. And then he starts saying the lines of Shershaah He’s like ‘Delhi ka seedha sadha launda hu (I’m a simple boy from Delhi)…’ And then, I burst out laughing. It was really sweet.”

Adding to that, KJo said, “My first thing, you know, the Sindhi in me, now I can’t help it. I said ‘Show me the ring’. So she flashed.” Furthermore, KJo joked, “I have this feeling you only chose this ring.” Kiara responded saying, “I gave him hints. These things only happen once.”

Kiara was late to her wedding: Karan Johar attended Kiara and Sidharth’s wedding. Recalling the special day, KJo revealed that Kiara was actually late to her own wedding and the guests were all waiting for her to come. The filmmaker shared, “The baraat had reached the end of its tether. Ek hota hai ki baaraat ek energy ke saath shuru hoti hai. It started with vigour, then it went more vigour, the the vigour started reducing. Then everybody was tired. The heat was there. It was in Rajasthan. And finally, we were like, ‘Kaha hai yaar? (Where is she?)’. She was really late. By the end of it, you were really being bitched about.” To her defense, Kiara said that she was getting ready and that there were some issues. The couple got married on 7th February, 2023.

Vicky Kaushal recalls proposing Katrina Kaif a day before their wedding: Vicky shared, “It was very last minute. I had been warned by everybody that if you don’t propose, it’s something that you have to be prepared for the rest of your life that you got to hear about it. I did that (proposed) one day before the wedding. The first night that we were there, we reached there and I planned a special dinner. So, there was a dinner just before any of the friends and families could come. They were all coming the next. It was just us. So yeah, it happened there.” The actor went on to add that he went down on his knees. They tied the knot on 9th December, 2021.

Vicky on his first anniversary gift to Katrina: The actor revealed, “I have never understood art. She is fond of it. So, my first year anniversary gift to her was a piece of art. And I’ve never really understood it.” Vicky further mentioned that he learned a lot about art from her. Vicky revealed, “She made ease into it. She showed me a lot of things. And then I genuinely like kind of got into it. Then we really got something that spoke to us. Now that wall is my favourite wall in the house.”
