After a blockbuster 2023, we are looking forward for some interesting line-up of films in 2024 as well. From Fighter to The Crew, let's have a look at much-awaited movies.

With blockbusters like Jawan, Pathaan, and Animal, 2023 has been a golden year for Bollywood with the inauguration of the 500 crore club and the record of highest footfall in theatres. With this, the excitement for the upcoming year is high as we look forward to some much-awaited releases like Fighter, Kalki 2898 AD, and Sky Force with bated breaths. As we look forward to the year with great excitement, here’s a look at Bollywood movies that are a must-watch in 2024.

Merry Christmas

Vijay Sethupathy will be seen alongside Katrina Kaif in this upcoming movie releasing on 12 January 2024. The story’s plot revolves around a man whose life changes for good or worse on Christmas Eve after he falls in love with a girl. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas is a romantic thriller that also stars Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar. The movie will be released in two languages: Hindi and Tamil.

Fighter

2024 is set to kickstart with an adrenaline rush courtesy Fighter. Hrithik Roshan’s collaboration with War director Siddharth Anand, Fighter is India’s first aerial action franchise. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone as Squadron leaders alongside Anil Kapoor as Group Captain for the Indian Air Force, Fighter is touted to be the most anticipated films of next year. It is all set to hit the theatres on 25 January 2023.

Kalki 2898 AD

Audiences have been waiting with bated breath for Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi Kalki 2898 AD ever since the film was officially announced. Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan, the movie would be released on 12th January 2024. However, according to new media reports, the makers have decided to postpone the film’s theatrical release.

Prabhas will be seen in a different avatar in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Featuring the dynamic duo of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is director Ali Abbas Zafar’s next action entertainer. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F. The film is all set to release on 10th April 2024.

Yodha

Sidharth Malhotra is all set to have an action-packed year with Yodha. Helmed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha the movie also stars Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna in pivotal roles. It is all set to release on 15th March 2024. In one poster, Sidharth dons a commando uniform against the backdrop of a soaring plane, accompanied by the intriguing tagline, “One commando. One hijack. Countless secrets.”

The crew

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon starrer The Crew has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Fans are beyond excited to watch an all-female cast leading the upcoming project. Bankrolled by Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, the movie is slated to release on 22nd March 2024.

Chaava

Vicky Kaushal is all set to join hands with director Laxman Utekar yet again for Chaava. The film will see him play Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj alongside Rashmika Mandanna who will play Yesubai Bhonsale. Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram handle to share glimpses from the sets of Chaava. In his caption, Vicky wrote, “Last day on set for this year. Ending the year by completing the biggest action sequence of my career so far. 2023, you have been truly gratifying… Walking into 2024 hungrier than ever before!” The film is set to release on December 6, 2024.

Tehran

Helmed by ad filmmaker Arun Gopalan, John Abraham’s next film titled Tehran is inspired by true events. It also stars Manushi Chhillar in pivotal role. The actors wrapped up the shoot of film in October 2022. It is all set to release in theatres on 26th April 2024 alongside Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.

Chandu Champion

Kartik Aaryan is all set to showcase his versatility in Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion. The movie is based on the real-life story of a sportsman and his spirit of never giving up. As per reports, Kabir Khan’s film is based on India’s first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Patekar and it will release on 14 June 2024. Kartik Aaryan has also shot for an intense 8-minute long single-shot war scene.

Sky Force

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force will mark Akshay Kumar’s third theatrical release in 2024 following Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Welcome 3. The movie is based on true events and celebrates one of the biggest victories of Indian Air Force. Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured boyfriend Veer Pahariya will also make his big Bollywood debut with the film. It also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles and is set to hit the silver screen on October 2, 2024.
