Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
After the hugely successful 'Sultan', Ali Abbas Zafar helmed the sequel of Kabir Khan's 2012 action flick 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Tiger Zinda Hai' is on number 1. The film that released this Friday has done more than half the business of 'Ek Tha Tiger' in its first weekend. The movie has collected Rs 114 crore nett in just three days. The star power of Salman Khan coupled with his chemistry with Katrina Kaif surely did wonders. Also, the gripping storyline and action scenes just added to it. One can't ignore the fact that the movie released on Friday which wasn't a holiday as opposed to his previous superhits which released on a public holiday of Eid and still managed to do so well. So, this movie has clearly broken all the previous records set by the man himself.
Sultan (2016)
Last year during Eid, Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer 'Sultan' released and it did a business of Rs 105.55 crore nett in its first weekend. The movie released during the festive period of Eid which worked in its favour along with the fact that Salman took on the role of a wrestler for the very first time along with Anushka Sharma.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)
In the year 2015 during Eid, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' hit the cinema halls. The movie also had a litte child artist in the form of Harshali Malhotra. Salman's struggle to safely return the little girl back to Pakistan, struck the right chord with the masses. The movie minted Rs 101.42 crore in its first weekend.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015)
After decades, Salman Khan returned to his Prem avatar with the movie 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', which was coined by Sooraj Barjatya. Actress Sonam Kapoor was cast opposite him in the movie. Even though, it didn't impress the critics, the audiences gave a thumbs up to Salman's Prem avatar. The movie released in the same year as 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', but during Diwali and got great advantage of the festivities. The year 2015 surely proved to be a lucrative one for the actor, with two back-to-back superhits. In its first weekend, the film collected Rs 97.63 crore nett.
Kick (2014)
The Sajid Nadiadwala directorial 'Kick' which released in 2014 starred Jacqueline Fernandez opposite Salman Khan. Standing true to its title, the movie had Salman Khan packing in kicks and punches with ease. The movie released three days before Eid, yet managed to rake in Rs 80.13 crore nett at the box office in its first weekend. With Salman's star power, Nawazuddin Siddiqui's negative act also impressed the audiences.
