‘Pari’
Anushka Sharma-starrer ‘Pari’ is all set to hit the screens on March 2, 2018, and the actress will be donning a never-seen-before avatar in the film. Well, it is quite an important film for Anushka’s career as producer as well as an actress.
Two back to back flops
While 2016 was a good year for Anushka with ‘Sultan’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, 2017 wasn’t a great year professionally with two back to back flops, 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' and 'Phillauri'. However, 'Phillauri', which was her home production was a profitable venture for her thanks to the pre-release collection of the film through music and satellite rights, but theatrically it didn’t do well. Even she failed to make a hattrick with Shah Rukh Khan with ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
Breaking the norm of married actresses can’t give a HIT
While actresses Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, late Sridevi, etc. have proved that married actresses can give a hit, it is still a mindset that once an actress gets married her demand goes down. Anushka, who has always broken the norms in Bollywood, has to give a hit with ‘Pari’ and prove that marriage is not a hurdle in an actress’ life.
A mainstream actress in horror movie
Urmila Matondkar and Bipasha Basu have done horror movies at the peak of their careers, but not many actresses of this generation have decided to star in a horror film. Anushka would be the first mainstream actress amongst her contemporaries to do a horror film. So, it is surely an experiment she is doing here.
Her STARDOM test
Apart from Aamir Khan, mostly all the superstars promote their film extensively and that goes for mostly all the top actresses too. But, ‘Pari’ is surely a big test of Anushka’s stardom as she has not at all promoted the film apart from some videos on social media. Let’s see if she passes this test.

Well, it is an important film for Anushka’s career, both as a producer and as an actress. Here’s why we feel so:
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
