As Om Raut's Ambitious retelling of Ramayana, Adipurush has released, here's a look at how much it's leading cast including Prabhas and Kriti Sanon got paid as fees.

Om Raut directed retelling of the epic Ramayana, the magnum opus Adipurush, released in theatres on June 16, 2023. The film features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Goddess Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Ravan, Sunny Singh as Lord Laxman and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. The film boasts a huge scale and has a humongous budget. And here’s how much Adipurush cast charged as their fees for the film.

Prabhas

The actor became a pan-India superstar with his 2018 release Baahubali. He followed that success with a bigger blockbuster in the film’s sequel. Prabhas is one of the most popular and highest-paid actors from the Telugu film industry. And to portray Lord Ram for this pan-Indian film, the actor reportedly charged Rs 150 crore as his fees.

Kriti Sanon

Adipurush marks Kriti’s second release of the year after the February release Shehzada with Kartik Aaryan. The actress plays the role of Goddess Sita in this magnum opus. She has been receiving appreciation for her portrayal in the reviews that have come. For the film, Kriti has reportedly been paid Rs 3 crores as her salary.

Saif Ali Khan

Saif plays the menacing Ravan in Adipurush and the actor has faced a lot of controversies around that. However, the reviews that have come in, people have been appreciating his act as the King of Lanka, barring the VFX. For the film, the actor has reportedly charged Rs 12 crores as his fees.

Sunny Singh

This is the biggest project that Sunny has been a part of and he is playing the role of Lord Laxman. Till now, the actor has done mostly comic roles, including in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Le Titu Ki Sweety. This is his first historical action movie and the actor reportedly got paid Rs 1.5 crores for it.

Sonal Chauhan

Sonal Chauhan plays Ravan’s wife Mandodari in Adipurush. She usually plays glamorous characters, thus this is a very different kind of role for her. The actress has reportedly received Rs 50 lakhs for the film.

Adipurush budget

This retelling of Ramayana started as one of the biggest films of India with a huge scale. The estimated budget was around Rs 500 crores. However, the criticism that the film’s first teaser got, the makers reworked on the film. The delays, and corrections on the film increased the budget and it’s final landing cost is reportedly said to be around Rs 600-700 crores.
