Only a few celebrities speak freely about their not-so-fascinating experiences. In the entertainment industry, over the years, several actresses have faced criticism for going under the knife. However, there are a few celebrities who have been unabashed about going for plastic surgery. Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Rakhi Sawant and a few other divas have been unabashed about opting for plastic surgery. Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and other actresses have spoken about undergoing surgery whether be it for medical reasons or even to sharpen their features.

Priyanka Chopra: The Matrix Resurrections actress had opened up about her undergoing plastic surgery and addressed rumours in her memoir Unfinished. She revealed that she had undergone surgery to treat a polyp in her nasal cavity after having trouble breathing. She said, “While shaving off the polyp, the doctor also accidentally shaved the bridge of my nose and the bridge collapsed.” Chopra shared that she had corrective surgeries until her nose looked normal. PeeCee said it took her a few years of seeing a stranger gazing back at her when she looked in the mirror but mentioned she has gotten accustomed to her face.

Anushka Sharma: The Zero actress faced severe backlash when she was seen with fuller lips. She even rubbished claims and stated that she has been using ‘a temporary lip-enhancing tool’. Speaking with Vogue magazine later, the actress had admitted that she had nothing to hide. She said, “When I spoke about my lip job, a lot of people called me brave for coming out. But I did what I had to for my role in ‘Bombay Velvet’. I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t; I had to take ownership. I wanted fans to know that I’m human and not perfect“.

Shilpa Shetty: The Hungama 2 actress came under the scanner on her nose job. She was often seen dodging questions for sometime, until she finally spoke openly about it. Later, Shilpa was lauded for admitting that she underwent cosmetic surgery. The actress had said, “Yes, I got a nose job. What’s the big deal?” Shetty had even stated that her sharp nose balanced the features on her face.

Shruti Haasan: Earlier this year, the actress made it to the headlines when she defended her decision to go under the knife. She had said that she has the right to choose how she looks. In a lengthy post on Instagram, the actress shared that she believes people should not be criticised for changing their appearance and looks. She wrote, “No one famous or not is in a position to judge another person. Ever. That’s just not cool. I’m happy to say this is my life my face and yes I’ve had plastic surgery which I’m not ashamed to admit. Do I promote it? No. Am I against it? No. It’s just how I choose to live.”

Rakhi Sawant: The Bigg Boss 15 wild card contestant had opened up about facing innumerable rejections and finally resorting to surgery to improve her looks and appearance. On Koffee with Karan, Rakhi had said, “My family never approved of me getting into the (entertainment) industry and would beat me up black and blue if they would ever find me dancing. When I finally reached Mumbai, I started dancing and showcasing my talent in front of many producers who would also see me in a bad light.” She had added, “I thought that I would rather dance at a dance bar than in front of such inconsiderate people. I faced innumerable rejections and resorted to surgery to improve my looks and appearance. I went into the surgery room as my former self Neeru Bheda but came out as a new and improved version of my own self.”
