1. Rajesh Krishnan

Director Rajesh Krishnan who has helmed Kunal Kemmu’s upcoming film ‘Lootcase’ has been quite a celebrated ad filmmaker. And while under his banner Soda Films Rajesh has created some great commercials for brands like Mentos, Monster.com, Center Fruit, Set Wet, VIP Bags, etc. he has been the man behind some most loved TV commercials. Other than making ads Rajesh has also directed a popular web-series called TVF Tripling.

2. R Balki

Director-writer-producer R Balki has had some super hit films to his credit, and he has also worked with the finest of actors in Bollywood. His filmography comprising of movies like Cheeni Kum, Ki&Ka, Padman, Shamitabh, Paa, the director was also a maverick in the ad world, not only did he work with the best of advertising companies, but he also directed commercials for the biggest of Indian brands. Some of them include Britannia, Surf Excel, Idea Cellular, Tanishq, Tata Tea, Havells, Pepsodent, etc. In fact, Balki also has been the genius behind some really popular ad campaigns like Surf Excel Daag Acche Hai, Jaago Re for Tata Tea, etc.

3.Nitesh Tiwari

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari who made his debut into the film world with the National Award-winning film Chillar Party also went to give Bollywood one of its highest-grossing films of all times with Dangal. But before he created waves in Bollywood, Nitesh worked with a popular advertising company as a creative director and some of his directed popular commercials include, the Zee5 Anthem, Star Plus Nayi Soch, Tide, Bajaj, etc.

4. Gauri Shinde

Director Gauri Shinde who made her debut in the film industry with late Sridevi’s comeback film English Vinglish only went on to gain more popularity for her next directorial Dear Zindagi. And before films, Gauri worked in the advertising field making more than a 100 ads, some of her works include ads for Tanishq, Whatsapp, etc. And while Gauri has worked with some renowned ad agencies, she is also said to be one of the 5 best directors in Bollywood.

5. Amit Sharma

The director, who delivered a hit at the box office in 2018 with Badhaai Ho, has had a career in the ad world spanning over a decade. And in this time Amit directed more than 900 commercials for television. With directing ads for brands like Google, Coca Cola, Amazon, Amit has also had some award-winning ad campaigns under his name, one of the notorious ones being The Silent National Anthem.
