Yashraj scion, and the helmer of some of the most popular romances, Aditya Chopra celebrates his 46th birthday today. He inherited the passion for cinema from his late father and veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra. After assisting him on projects like ‘Lamhe’ and ‘Darr’, he made his Bollywood debut as a writer and director at the age of 24 years when his film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ was released. Till today, the film is running in the morning show at the Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai, making it the longest-running film in the history of Indian cinema. He later went on to direct and produce many films, but, media and cameras could never have a tête-à-tête with the man, as he preferred being away from media glare and paparazzi’s at all costs. Whether Aditya has a phobia of cameras, or it is his choice to stay away from limelight, we may never know.
