The ‘Chote Nawab’ of Bollywood, Saif Ali Khan has turned a year older today. He is currently in London with his family and is having a great time. In his career span, Saif has seen many ups and downs. Some of his movies didn’t work but the actor never gave up. Today, he is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood.

Saif made his acting debut in 1993 with the movie ‘Parampara’ that was unsuccessful. But he gained popularity with movies like ‘Yeh Dillagi’ and ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’. Both came in the year 1994. ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ was the turning point of his career and he was lauded for his performance in the movie. He never looked back in his career and started giving stellar performances.

Saif played a double role in this Imtiaz Ali directorial – one was Jai Vardhan Singh and the other was young Veer Singh. It was not easy to play both the roles in a parallel manner but the Chote Nawab pulled off characters with ease.

5. Kal Ho Naa Ho

Though Saif played supporting character Rohit, his contribution in the film was immense. His role redefined love and friendship in the true sense. He bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
