Ae Watan Mere Watan, starring Sara Ali Khan as freedom fighter Usha Mehta, has premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Since its release. the Kannan Iyer directorial – produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, has been garnering much love on social media. Qatra Qatra

Sung by Sukhwinder Singh, Ae Watan Mere Watan’s Qatar Qatar is written and composed by Mukund Suryawanshi. With lyrics by Ravi Girri & Rohan Deshmukh, the patriotic song evokes feelings of pure devotion, loyalty, and respect. It beautifully depicts the passion the unsung heroes of the Indian freedom struggle had during the Quit India movement. Qatra Qatra was first showcased at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. It was done with an electrifying live performance by Sukhwinder.

Ae Watan Mere Watan (2 versions)

The title track of the Sara Ali Khan-led film is a hard-hitting song that can make one emotional. Available in 2 versions – one sung by Romy and the female version crooned by Neeti Mohan, the soul-touching song is a reminder of the valiant sacrifices of the thousands who fought and put their lives on the line to gain freedom from the British Raj. The song is composed by Akashdeep Sengupta with lyrics by Darab Farooqui.

Dua E Azaadi

Sung by Javed Ali and Swaroop Khan, Dua E Azaadi is composed by Shashi, with lyrics penned by Darab Farooqui. The track plays during a crucial moment in Sara Ali Khan’s character’s life as a freedom fighter and makes you wish she succeeded. This track also reignites one’s love for the country.

Julia 

This romantic track from Ae Watan Mere Watan is sung by Divya Kumar and Shashi Suman. Julia is composed by Shashi Suman, with lyrics penned by Prashant Ingole. The spirited song tugs at the heartstrings of listeners with its upbeat composition, endearing lyrics, and old-world charm. Directed by Kannan Iyer, the historical biographical drama stars Sara Ali Khan as the unsung freedom fighter Usha Mehta. Usha is credited for starting the Congress Radio – an underground radio station, during the Quit India movement in 1942. The film also stars Sparsh Shrivastav, Anand Tiwari, Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Alexx O’Nell and Benedict Garrett, with Emraan Hashmi making a cameo appearance as Ram Manohar Lohia. It premiered today, March 21, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.
