Bollywood has lost yet another gem as ace choreographer Saroj Khan passed away. She was earlier admitted at a Bandra hospital as she complained of breathing issues, but she was later discharged as she had recovered. But, last night she suffered a heart attack and could not make it through.
Saroj Khan was one of the best choreographers in Bollywood. She had choreographed many Bollywood hits and she even had bagged a National Award for some of them. Here are the songs that Saroj Khan was honoured with the National Award for her choreography.

Dola Re Dola- ‘Devdas’
The song ‘Dola Re Dola’ from the movie ‘Devdas’ is one of the most iconic songs in Bollywood that have ever existed. Saroj Khan was one of the reasons for it as she had lent her expertise and choreographed it. The song featured Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit and it had won the late choreographer a national award.
All Songs- ‘Sringaram’
Saroj Khan had choreographed all songs from a Tamil period film titled ‘Sringaram’. The movie featured Aditi Rao Hydari who played the lead role of a Bharathanatiyam dancer named Varshini. The movie was directed by debutante Sharada Ramanathan. It was a highly critically acclaimed movie and had won two more prizes at the 53rd National Film Awards.
Yeh Ishq Haye- ‘Jab We Met’
The song ‘Yeh Ishq Haye’ from the movie ‘Jab We Met’ was an absolute chartbuster. It is one of the most iconic songs in Bollywood and it was choreographed by Saroj Khan. The song featured Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Khan had bagged a National Award for her amazing choreography in the song.
