The movie RRR, directed by filmmaker SS Rajamouli was released in theatres on March 25. The movie stars Ram Charan, JR NTR, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris. RRR (Hindi) got a fantastic opening of approximately, 19 crore nett, at the box office. The SS Rajamouli directorial has managed to cross the 100 crore mark and 600 crore worldwide in just five days of its release. Parineeti Chopra

Rumours were rife that Parineeti will be replacing Alia Bhatt in the movie RRR. Reports stated that Alia opted out of the project due to her packed schedule. Back in 2019, Chopra had addressed the rumours. She had said, “I’ll only say that you guys should wait and believe the things we announce.” Alia played the role of Sita in RRR.

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha was approached by the RRR team for an important role in the movie. There were speculations that Kapoor was considered to pair opposite Jr NTR in the movie. However, she did not be a part of the project due to date issues.

Isabelle Kaif

Katrina Kaif’s sister was offered to play the role of Jr NTR’s love interest in the SS Rajamouli directorial. The actress reportedly turned down the offer. As per a report in India Today, an insider revealed, “Isabelle Kaif was offered the role of the foreigner, who is seen as Jr NTR’s love interest in the film. The actress refused to do the film because she wanted the script and details of the movie.”

Daisy Edgar Jones

The makers of RRR had reportedly roped in actress Daisy Edgar Jonas to play a foreigner and Jr NTR’s pair in the movie. However, Jones stepped out of the movie due to multiple delays. Later, in an Instagram note, Daisy revealed that she had to turn down RRR due to ‘unavoidable reasons’. She was to play the role portrayed by Olivia Morris.

The actor’s now-deleted post read: “RRR: Unfortunately, due to my family circumstances. I am unable to participate in filming for this wonderful film. The script is truly brilliant and it’s such a great character, I hope whoever they cast receives as warm a welcome as I have and I wish the production all the best (sic).”

Amy Jackson
