Alok Nath
Veteran actor Alok Nath faced the heat of the #MeToo movement when writer-producer Vinta Nanda accussed him of raping her for many years. He was also accused of sexual harassment by an employee who worked for Sooraj Barjatya's 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. Actress Sandhya Mridul too opened up on how he harassed her night after night on an outdoor shoot. Today, actress Deepika Nanda has also accused the actor of sexual harassment.
Chetan Bhagat
Writer Chetan Bhagat was also accussed of sexual misconduct by a woman. She went on to share screenshots of a WhatsApp chat in which the author had written that he was trying to "woo" her. In a Facebook message, Bhagat had not only apologised to the woman and his wife but also admitted to having the conversation. Soon a journalist also posted screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation in which the author asked if she was a "very sexual" person and "what's the wildest sexual thing you've done?"
Subhash Kapoor
The 'Jolly LLB' director Subhash Kapoor has been accused by actress Geetika Tyagi of sexual misconduct she had also filed a police complaint against the filmmaker alleging that he had raped her and even shared a video where she is seen slapping him. Kapoor, was later arrested on the charges, but then released on bail. Recently the director was working with Aamir Khan on Bhushan Kumar's 'Moghul', but the actor has left the film after the news of Subhash's sexual misconduct. Even Bhushan Kumar the co-producer has asked the director to leave the project.
Rohit Roy
Rohit Roy: Actor Rohit Roy was accused of sexual harassment by a person who claimed that she was 16. The anonymous messages were posted on Twitter by a journalist. One of her messages read, "He harassed me on several occasions since, trying to get me to kiss him. Including when his wife was in the next room." However, when Rohit was asked about the incident, he denied all the allegations.
Raghu Dixit
Singer and musician Raghu Dixit, who is known for his multilingual folk band called The Raghu Dixit Project, has been called out for harassing two women. Chinmayi Sripaada has shared the allegations of the alleged victims. An anonymous woman has claimed that Raghu tried to kiss her at his studio when she was there for a recording, which didn't happen. He was also accussed by another women of the same. The singer took to social media and apologized.
Anu Malik
Composer Anu Malik referred to me as ‘maal’, alleges singer Sona Mohapatra who had also accussed singer Kailash Kher of sexual harassment. She said that Malik repeatedly called her at unearthly hours and also called her “maal” in front of her husband Ram Sampath. Malik has refuted the charges and said that he has never met Sona. The singer took to her social media handle and accussed him of harassing not only her, but another singer Suman Sridhar who left the country all thanks to him.
Nana Patekar
'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' actress Tanushree Dutta opened up on actor Nana Patekar's inappropriate behaviour on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss'. She said that Nana came on set while she was filming a dance scene in the 2008 movie. He demanded that some intimate dance moves were included in the song and when she resisted, he called goons on the sets to intimidate her.
Vivek Agnihotri
Tanushree Dutta has also alleged that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri behaved inappropriately with her while shooting a 2005 movie. Tanushree said that Vivek had asked her to strip and dance in front of Irrfan Khan. The actress also revealed that it was Irrfan and Suneil Shetty who had stood up for her against the director’s will. Denying Tanushree's accussations, Vivek added that it is just a publicity stunt and also filed a legal notice against the actress.
Kailash Kher
A female journalist has accused singer Kailash Kher of harassment. She said, "This creep kept his hand on my thigh." Kailash, in his defence, opened up in a statement to IANS and said that he has always respected women. He added that if anyone has taken or thought something different about him, then he sincerely apologises.
Vikas Bahl
Following Tanushree's footsteps, Kangana Ranaut, who worked with filmmaker Vikas Bahl in 'Queen', came out and said that the director would "bury his face in my neck and hold me really tight."
Rajat Kapoor
Actor Rajat Kapoor has been called out for sexual harassment on Twitter with three women accusing him of inappropriate behaviour. One journalist shared details of a telephonic interview in which Mr. Kapoor allegedly asked her if she was "as sexy as she sounds" and also asked her about her vital stats.
